"I don't under…" The grip on her chin hushed her words as she stared back in surprise at the demon's suddenly bright glowing white eyes, commanding her full attention.
Pushing her onto her back, Idrak leaned over her until she was flat on her back and her bare breasts exposed to him. Leering at her with evident appreciation, Idrak cupped one breast as his mouth covered hers in a quick soul-shattering kiss. "I want you to promise me you will never use that gate to the beach. I will give you any and everything you could want or need, but you can never go down to the beach. Do you understand?"
"What?" shocked by this sudden change in topic, Nadira let his words sink in. "But I love the ocean…"
Angered frustration flashed through his eyes, but the grip on her breast did not tighten in retaliation. Kneading the globe of fat lovingly, he gave her a serious look. "Nadira," he warned. "I need you to promise me."
There was a stillness about him that unnerved her. This all-powerful djinn was asking her for something so ludicrous yet simple and in return, he would give her everything.
"So, I am to belong to you and promise to never go to the beach ever again, is that right?" she summarized slowly.
"Yes," he snapped with a hiss of impatience.
Ghost-like gray irises shined dimly through the piercing void of white of his eyes as he stared back at her with a desperate impatience.
Raising her hands to the side of his face, she let her fingers trace over the point of his ears. "Does this have something to do with the witch of the sea you mentioned before?"
"Everything," he answered bluntly.
Understanding he needed this, Nadira nodded and met his gaze. "Yes, alright. I won't use the gate."
Relief relaxed his muscles as he draped himself on top of her. Moving her legs so he could rest between them, her inquiring words were swallowed into his mouth as he covered her lips.
