“I can walk—“ she began.

“Not tonight.” His eyes blazed with alpha intensity as he lifted her effortlessly into his arms. “Tonight, I’m going to show you exactly what it means to be my future queen.”

Mila’s breath caught at the raw possession in his voice. “Cade?—“

“What? The trial proved we belong together.” He carried her up the cabin steps, his wolf surging with primal satisfaction. “Now I intend to celebrate that properly.”

The cabin door swung open under his shoulder, revealing the warm and cozy interior. Cade set Mila down slowly, his hands lingering at her waist as she steadied herself against his chest.

“We have all night to ourselves,” he murmured, his mouth brushing her ear. “And I plan to use every minute of it.”

Cade couldn’t wait a minute longer after he started the fire in the stone fireplace of the cabin. And apparently, neither could she. The deepened bond from the Moonfire Trial hadamplified every sensation, every emotion between them, and the connection was too potent to ignore. Mila’s pulse raced, her scent sharp with desire, and it made his wolf claw at the surface, demanding he claim her completely.

They stood inches apart, the firelight casting flickering shadows on the cabin walls. Cade’s eyes darkened with raw need as he reached for her, his hands trembling as he gripped the hem of her shirt.

“Clothes are a problem,” he growled, his voice thick with hunger.

Mila laughed breathlessly, her hands already tugging at his shirt. “I agree. You’re wearing too many layers.”

He didn’t argue. In one swift motion, he yanked the shirt over her head, tossing it aside. Her bra followed, leaving her bare from the waist up. Cade’s breath hitched at the sight of her, her skin glowing in the firelight, her chest rising and falling with anticipation.

“You’re so breathtaking,” he whispered.

She smirked, her fingers working furiously on his belt. “Less talking, more undressing.”

Cade’s lips curved into a wolfish grin. “Your wish is my command, my queen.”

He removed his shirt in one swift motion and kicked off his boots. Mila’s hands slid down his chest, her touch electric, and he growled low in his throat. Before he knew it, they were both completely bare in front of the fireplace, his arousal throbbing desperately for her.

Their mouths crashed together, a collision of heat and need. Cade backed her against the nearest wall, his hands roaming her body. She moaned into his mouth, her hands gripping his shoulders.

“Bed,” she gasped between kisses.

“Bed’s too far,” he growled, his hands sliding down to grip her hips.

He lifted her up, pressing her against the wall, her legs wrapping around his waist. She was already wet, her warmth pressing against him, and his arousal throbbed harder with urgency.

“I need you. Now.”

Mila’s breath hitched as she nodded, her eyes dark with longing.

He entered her in one fluid thrust, her cry of pleasure echoing through the cabin. Cade’s head fell back, a deep groan tearing from his throat as she clenched around him, her heat enveloping him completely.

“Damn, Mila,” he growled. “You’re absolutely perfect.”

She clung to him, her breath ragged against his neck. “Don’t stop,” she pleaded, her hips rocking against his.

Cade obeyed, thrusting into her with a rhythm that was both claiming and reverent. Every movement sent sparks of pleasure through their deepened bond, their emotions and sensations intertwined in a way that was overwhelming and exhilarating. Mila’s moans grew louder, her body tightening around him, and Cade knew she was close.

“Come for me, beautiful,” he commanded, his voice low and guttural.

She shattered almost instantly, her body convulsing around him, her cry of ecstasy muffled against his shoulder. Cade followed her over the edge, his orgasm crashing through him with such intensity that he nearly blacked out. He pressed his forehead against hers, his body trembling with the force of it.

“That was…” Mila trailed off, her voice shaky.

“Just the first round,” Cade promised, his lips brushing hers softly.

He carried her to the dining table next, her laughter ringing through the cabin as he set her down. “Cade, the table?” she teased, her eyes sparkling with amusement.
