I have told her bits here and there but never the full story.

“Nothing. He is just an ass who doesn't have any manners.”

Bridgette and I make our way towards the kitchen that holds all of the beverages and snacks. I pour myself a pink lemonade with vodka in it.

Bridgette pours herself a cup of whiskey.

When you look at her, you would assume that she is a girl who doesn't drink strong alcohol but Bridgette definitely knows how to handle her liquor.

When it comes to weed or anything like that, she is a total disaster.

“Make sure I don't do anything embarrassing. I want to get so drunk that I don't remember a thing that happened tonight.” Bridgette says before she starts drinking her whiskey.

I chuckle and nod my head.

During the party, Bridgette and I dance a little bit, mingle with people who go to our school, and then decide to play a small party game.

Bridgette and I mostly dance though.

We let the alcohol drive us and slowly dance to the music sensually.

I feel eyes on us, more specifically me, as Bridgette and I dance together. I turn my head, my hair flowing through the air, and my eyes catch dark ones that are filled with lust and heat.

Ash.

He is staring at me like he either wants to kill me or take me into one of these bedrooms and make me scream in his neck.

Ash is sitting on one of the stools near the bar and his legs are a little spread making my eyes travel down to the spot between his legs. My heart swirls in my stomach as I notice the bulge underneath his jeans.

Slowly my eyes connect with his again and Ash is now smirking at me.

I don't know what it is about Ash but he always has a way of making me want to get on my knees for him.

How does he do it?

I look away from him before I start thinking those dangerous thoughts again.

I can't fall into his traps anymore. If I do then he will ruin me again.

“Let's go outside, I need some fresh air!” I yell to Bridgette which makes her nod her head.

Bridgette grabs onto my hand and she pulls us out of the dancing crowd and we make our way to the backyard where music is playing lightly and people are mingling and talking with other people.

“Hey Bridgette! I'm happy you made it,” a guy says as he walks up to us. He has short blonde hair and dark brown eyes. He's the guy that Bridgette hooked up with, the one who is currently hosting this party as well. “Long time no see. How are you?”

“Joshua. Hey.” Bridgette gives him a timid smile and grips my hands. I already know she wants to flee from the scene and not face him. Makes sense because he looks like a weirdo. “I'm good. Just hanging out with my friend.”

Joshua moves his eyes to me. “Ariella, right? I've heard about you.”

“Good things, I hope.” I give him a small smile before pulling Bridgette away from him. “Well, Bridgette and I have to go meet up with our friends.”

Joshua furrows his eyebrows and his hand grabs Bridgette's to pull her closer to him. “Oh, well, I was hoping that maybe Bridgette and I could talk some more. We haven't seen each other in a while.”

That was for a reason dude.

“Yea, but you see we have people waiting for her and then her-“

“-boyfriend won't be too happy seeing her with someone that isn't me.” A voice finishes the sentence which makes me look over my shoulder and see Jace standing behind Bridgette and I with Ash next to him. “So I suggest you get your hands off my girlfriend before I throw you in your own pool,” Jace threatens.
