His kisses still stop my world and make me see stars. He makes me feel like the earth is shaking and spinning.
I breathe into his lips and wrap my arms around him to pull him closer into me. “I can't breathe,” I mumble against his lips. “You make me feel like breathing isn't possible.”
“Good.” He nips my bottom lip and his knee rests between my legs. “I need to get my fill of you before-“
“Daddy!” We hear a little girl scream making Ash and I part.
“Fucking cock blocker.”
I laugh as he rests his forehead against mine. “Go unlock the door for her.”
He sighs before pressing a kiss to my forehead and getting up.
Alex has school today. She loves school and everything about it. Every morning she is the one running into our room to tell us to get out of bed to have breakfast together. Sometimes Ash wakes up before me to make her breakfast and get her ready but that's only when I’m too tired to get up. Ash always makes sure to tire me out all night.
I am lucky enough to be able to get in to work late. I work for a publishing company as an assistant. I make good income along with Ash's income as a bestselling author.
He has published seven books in the last five years and they have all hit the bestsellers list. He has a very good agent who got him to where he is now.
We had Alex five years ago, a year after we moved to New York. Alex is the light Ash needed in his life. He loves her so much and you can tell.
Ash would burn the entire world down for Alex and make sure she is smiling while doing all of that. I love watching them sometimes, playing or hanging out. Sometimes he will be in her room reading her a book or telling her how much he loves her before she goes to bed. I love my baby girl but you can tell Ash loves her more which makes me happy.
Ash's therapy is going well. He is still seeing Doctor Jameson. He grew a relationship with him over that first month and Ash decided that he wanted to keep him even when we were moving to New York. So, he has meetings with him either over the phone or video calls. Their meetings happen once a week but when they first started it was three times a week.
Ash is doing a lot better.
Obviously there have been a lot of downs with him where things have gotten scary but there also have been many ups with him. But since we had Alex things with him have been only good.
And our relationship is still as strong as ever.
“Is mommy going to dress me today?” I hear Alex say, making me smile.
I check under the covers to see if I have anything on and I don't. I glare at Ash while he just laughs.
“I will baby, give me a minute and wait in your room for me.” She smiles and runs to her room. “I wouldn't be surprised if she ever catches us again,” I tell Ash.
“Don't worry, she thinks it's just us playing twister,” Ash jokes before walking towards the bed and laying between my legs.
I rest my hands on his jaw. “How's your mind today?”
“Full of you,” Ash says.
He says the same thing every morning I ask him. Sometimes he says that it's full of me and Alex but most of the time it's just me which makes my heart happy.
He presses a passionate kiss to my lips before getting up. “I have a meeting with the CEO today so I have to go in early and I might not be able to pick up Alex.”
“It's okay. I'm just spending the day writing. I took the day off so that I can go to Paper Co. and just write.”
Paper Co. is a bookstore Ash and I found when we first moved here. We spend a lot of time there and that's where Ash also proposed to me. It wasn't extravagant but it was perfect.
I get out of bed and change into a new pair of underwear and pajama shorts. Ash kisses me one more time before I leave to go to Alex's room.
We live in a nice penthouse in front of Central Park. It's amazing living here and it feels like a dream. Alex's school is less than a mile away so Ash and I walk her to school and then I take a subway to work. Sometimes Ash drives me to work on his motorcycle when I’m running late or on random occasions. Ash walks everywhere when it comes to New York. He knows his way around the area very well. He uses his motorcycle for long drives but he never likes bringing it out of the garage if it’s not a must.
I walk inside Alex's room and she is already looking through her clothes.
“Okay, show me what you got.” I smile when I see her running around her room trying to pick out a dress.
