“Yea we can do that.” Ash looks at Jace. “You take Bridgette with you.”
Jace looks down at Bridgette while she rolls her eyes and crosses her arms over her chest. “If you don't want to go with Jace, I can-“
“No. She will go with Jace,” Ash cuts me off and wraps an arm around my waist.
“You know you can't take my best friend everyday, asshole. She loves me more. Remember that,” Bridgette says before passing Jace.
Jace laughs and then follows Bridgette.
I narrow my eyes at Ash. “You have been with her all your life mostly. I want to have my turn now.” I shake my head lightly as Ash grabs my hand and pulls us towards the ferris wheel.
“You need to learn to share.”
“No,” Ash says and he pulls me closer to him as we wait in line.
The past few days, Ash has not let me leave his side. He has been up my ass since the bookstore. If I thought he was possessive before, I was wrong.
Whenever a guy looks at me he always glares at them and says he will kill them under his breath. He also sometimes grabs me by my waist and puts his lips on mine and says that I am his.
Ash and I get inside the pod and I sit on the opposite of him.
He smirks and spreads his legs as he sits down, watching me. Once the ride starts, he roams his eyes along my frame, never taking his eyes away from me.
“Stop being a brat and come over here.” I smile at him and look outside the window.
The pod makes its way to the very top before it stops. Next thing I know I feel Ash's hands on me and I feel hot everywhere.
Ash pulls me over his lap and I lean into him with a squeal. “We aren't supposed to be sitting like this. That's not how a ferris wheel works.”
“I don't care.”
I roll my eyes. “You never do.”
I feel a slap on my ass making me gasp. Ash's lips lift in a small smirk and his eyes are filled with darkness.
He has that look in his eyes that makes me know he wants to swallow me whole. “Don't make me slap your ass until it's blue and purple,” Ash warns. He leans back and keeps his eyes on me. “Did you like today?”
“Yes. Thank you for making it special,” I say as my fingers make their way into his hair. “I had fun today.”
“Good. I like seeing you smile.”
“Then why did you always try to hurt me a few months ago when you came back to LA?”
“Because I needed to hurt you.”
I furrow my eyebrows. “Why?”
“Because hurting you was something I needed to do.”
“You just said that.”
“I can't tell you Ariella, not now at least. Give me a little more time,” Ash says and his hand on my thigh tenses before caressing my finger against my skin. “Let's talk about something else. Tell me more about your mom.”
I smile softly. I like the fact that he wants to know more about the person who made me so happy I couldn't stop smiling.
“She was amazing. I have already told you about how amazing she was.”
“What are some of the reasons why you love her?”
