She only ever wears dresses and I love that about her. Ash always buys her whatever kind of dress she wants. He never knows how to say no to her.

“I want either this pink one or this yellow one but I don't know because I want to wear that white bow.”

I smile and point to the pink one. “I think the pink one would look really pretty with the bow.” She smiles and jumps up and down. “Okay get changed and I can do your hair baby.” She wraps her arms around me and kisses me everywhere on my face. “I love you, mommy,” she says before leaving me and going to her bathroom to change.

I look at the clock on her dresser.

Shit, we're going to be late. I really hope that Ash already made breakfast.

“When you're done, come to the kitchen. I'll do your hair while we eat okay?”

She yells an 'okay'. I grab her hair stuff and leave to go to the kitchen where I see Ash, still shirtless and he is preparing eggs and waffles.

“I'll have to eat it on the way to work because right after Alex is done with her hair, she needs to go to school and I need to get ready to take her,” I say, walking past him to get water out of the fridge.

“Let me do her hair and then you can get ready.” I feel his arms wrap around my waist. “You're stressing out for nothing.”

“No, she wants me to do her hair. I'm going to do it quickly and then get ready.”

“Ariella-“

“Ash, no. I'll do it,” I say, narrowing my eyes at him.

“Ready mommy?” I hear Alex say, making me leave Ash's hold.

“Ten,” Ash says with a dark look in his eyes.

I gasp at him. “I didn't even do anything!”

“Don't care. Ten, and if you keep arguing with me then it's going to be twenty.” I roll my eyes and he just smirks. “Twenty. Go do my daughters hair.”

I laugh and shake my head lightly.

Alex sits on my lap as I do her hair and Ash serves her a plate of breakfast.

This is kind of our morning routine. Then, when we all get home, we just watch a movie and sometimes when I make dinner, Ash and Ariella play or watch a movie in the living room where I have a perfect view of them.

Sometimes my dad or Ash's dad will come over for dinner. Things with my dad have been okay. I had a long talk with him about Ash and he still doesn't fully trust him but if he wanted to come near Alex then he was going to have to be civil with Ash.

Ash met my mom six years ago before we moved to New York. He even told me to leave him and her alone so that he could talk to her. He never told me what he said because he said it was between her and him. I also learned that he asked her if he could propose to me and when he told me that I started crying.

Ash knows all of the right things to do and say and I can't be more grateful to be able to love him so deeply and fully.

And our family is only growing.

One YearLater

“How stupid are you feeling today?” Jameson asks over the phone as I shake the milk bottle in my hand.

Right now, I am putting Ariella's pre-pumped milk in the fridge. She plans on going out with Bridgette tomorrow so she pumped milk just in case she drinks. I told her I would put it in bottles so that she can tuck Alex in bed.

She already put Aiden to bed and hopefully he fucking stays there so that Ariella and I can fucking have some time alone together and then sleep a full six hours at least.

Last time I remember, Alex wasn't such a cry baby at night.
