No amount of physical pain could equate to what my father has done to my well-being. I have fought—I fucking fought until my heart couldn’t take anymore. I allowed the anger to get the better of me. And it’s okay. He deserves my pain a million times over.

There is no currency in the world that grants me as much satisfaction as seeing him choke on his own blood.

"Rowan-"

"I knew you were fucked up dad, but I didn't think you were that fucked up."

"Rowan-"

"I have been waiting years and years to tell you. And now I finally can." I raise my gun at him. "Goodbye, dad." The bullet goes through his skull.

Christian Valentino falls to the floor with a thud, and he is dead. Blood pools around his head as I put the gun in my waistband.

I take off my gloves and throw them to the floor.

I take the burner phone out of my pocket and call the number Ace gave me. I put the phone to my ear, and it rings.

It should be morning over there right now which means he should be in school.

"Yea?" I hear him say on the other side of the phone.

"Hayden Night?"

"Yea, who’s this?" he says as I hear a car door opening.

"Rowan Valentino."

"Sorry I have no clue who the fuck you are."

"Yea that's because you didn't know you have a brother." I say, pausing, waiting for him to say something but he doesn't. He doesn't hang up either. My lips lift in a small smirk. "Didn't think I would say some shit like that, huh?"

The soundof my door opening makes me stir and begin to wake up.

I open my eyes but can't see anything because it's so dark in my room. I stretch my hand across my bed and try to feel for Rowan, but I don't feel him anywhere next to me.

I sit up and look around my room, looking at the clock that says 5:00 AM.

I rub my eyelids and look around my room, only to see a dark figure walking up to my bed. I'm not afraid though because I know who it is.

"Rowan? What are you doing? Get back in bed," I say, not wanting to stay up any longer. "Rowan?" I ask again, wondering why he is not getting in bed.

"It's me, don't worry," Rowan says softly but I feel anxiety spread through my chest, wondering what the hell is going on. "But I'm going to show you something and I can't have you freak out, okay?"

"Okay," I say softly.

"Stand up from the bed and turn on the light," Rowan says and I do as he says.

I stand up from my bed and go to the light switch, switching it on.

I turn around and look at Rowan, almost feeling my heart drop. "Rowan," I whisper and put my hand over my mouth.

Rowan is wearing a white dress shirt and black plants. But that's not what I am shocked at.

I see blood on his face and blood all over his suit. I soon realize though, it's not his blood.
