Ace walks into my room which shocks me. "Are you still watching that movie?"

"Yeah. Want to watch?" I ask, trying not to show how excited I am.

"Whatever," he rolls his eyes and makes a motion with his hand for me to move a little so he can sit.

I laugh while moving so that he can sit next to me. It's silent while I'm trying to replay the movie. Ace comes and sits next to me.

"Thank you," I look at him and I see that he's messing with the ring on his hand. He looks at me questioning why I was thanking him. "For the gifts." He raises his eyebrows in shock. "I like the gloves. Red is my favorite color."

The shock is wiped off his face. "No problem."

"And for bringing my family here. I appreciate it," I give him a small smile.

He looks at me for a while before speaking. "It's nothing. Besides, you have been here long enough," he shrugs, trying not to show any emotion.

"Do you ever smile?" I question.

"No," he states with a straight face, staring at the screen in front of us.

"I bet you have a nice smile. But sadly, you have a stick up your ass so I don't know if that will ever happen."

Ace rolls his eyes and then he looks at me. "There's this...ball thing coming up. They give out awards and do challenges and shit like that," Ace states.

I look at him. "Is it the yearly ball already?" Ace nods his head. "Shit, I thought it was in a few more months."

"Well, I wanted to know if you would accompany me?"

For some reason, I feel my heart flutter at what Ace is asking. He wants me to accompany him to the ball.

Why would he ask me though?

This ball is super important and going with Ace did seem risky because we are from very different families who are known by others to have a war between us and that we discontinued our alliance.

I'm surprised my dad and brother aren't fighting with Ace but they're probably not doing it because they don't want to make me or my mom mad. Or maybe they are afraid of Ace.

"I'd love to go with you," I say with a smile.

Ace gives me a half-assed smile and then turns his attention to the TV.

I feel myself growing tired again and I rest my head against a really firm pillow. Last thing I remember before falling asleep was watching Lady running into the Tramp.

The sound of crying wakes me up from the dream I was having.

The dream was like another faded memory and this time I know for a fact it might be a memory. After everything Ace told me last night I have no doubt that Ace and I were involved but he is hiding more things from me.

I just can't put my finger on it even though I know that my relationship with Ace was probably a huge part of my life before I lost my memory. I just wish he had told me everything so that these dreams I am having would make sense.

I sit up and rub my eyes while yawning.

After the sunset with Ace, he took me to his favorite Italian restaurant, and then we went back to the house.

I told him that I just needed some time to process everything he told me. But then we came downstairs to watch a movie.

I turn my head only to see Ace sleeping next to me.

I wish I could grab my phone and take a picture of him but a picture won't do justice to the real thing.

His eyes are closed and he is snoring softly, to the point where you can't really hear his snores. His warm, bare chest is moving up and down as he breathes in and out.
