I stood and set her on her feet and then bent to position her panties for her to step into.

“Um, what about the plug?”

“It stays.”

Her eyes widened. “How long?”

“Until I take it out.”

“Oh, um, okay.” With that, she lightly placed her hands on my forearms and moved to step into the panties I was holding. She got one foot in and then seem to freeze. Not even wobbling on those “fuck me” heels as she started giggling.

“What’s funny?”

“Ummm…”

“Yes?”

“Hold on, I’m trying to think of how to say this diplomatically,” she said, still not straightening.

“How about just spitting it out?” I suggested.

“Okay, it looks like you had an accident.”

“What?”

“You know”—she finally stood straight and waved her hands toward me—“down there.”

“Down there?” I followed her gaze and saw the crotch of my pants looked like I’d peed myself. Evidently, every time I’dbent forward to speak into Hazel’s ear, the fabric had become a sponge, soaking up the liquid she’d been dripping. At least that answered the question as to why the puddle beneath the cross hadn’t been as large as I’d expected

She laughed and then slapped her hand over her mouth. “I’m sorry! I know it’s my fault. We don’t have to go eat. We can just go back to my place.”

“Hell no,” I said, as she stepped her other foot into her undies. I pulled them up her legs as I straightened, caressing her bare arse cheeks as the thong slid into place. Giving her now covered mons a kiss, I finally straightened and offered her my hand. “It’s a badge of honor any Dom is proud to wear as it lets everyone know that he satisfied his submissive.”

She took my hand and entwined her fingers with mine. “You did far more than satisfy, Sir, you took a giant leap of faith and set me free to fly.” She paused and then her brow furrowed.

“What is it?”

“What about you? I mean, you didn’t come.”

“Why do you think I’m about to feed you? The night’s not over and some subbie is going to need all the energy she can get.” I gave a waggle of my brows.

She giggled and went up onto her tiptoes. I grinned and bent down enough for her to be able to kiss me.

“Oh, and remember how you said you weren’t doing a very good job?”

The conversation we’d had in the hospital instantly flashed into my head and I nodded.

“Well, you were wrong, because Dr. Berringer, I’m definitely in love with you.”

I whooped and she startled but then laughed as I picked her up and twirled around in a circle as those around us began to clap and cheer all over again.

Chapter Eighteen

Hazel

Growing up as one of five children, I’d thought I’d known what having a crowd of people for holidays was all about.

I’d been wrong.
