I chanced a look, too. “Looks like a miniature eggplant.”

He chuckled. “Let’s get it iced and raised ASAP.”

Lucas stacked what cushions he could find at the end of the sofa and told me to lie back. I did as I was told, which was when he balanced the towel of ice on top of my toe.

“Jesus,” I whispered.

“Too cold?”

“No,” I lied.

“Now, can I get you anything else?”

I pretended to be deep in thought. “Nah, all a woman needs is chocolate, tampons, and a stunning pair of shoes.”

He cocked an eyebrow. “I was thinking more along the lines of coffee or something to eat?”

Looking at his adorable confused face, I laughed then glanced over his shoulder at Josh before smirking. “Actually, yes, there is something you can get.”

“What? Anything.”

“Grab the scotch from the minibar and three glasses. We might need some more ice too!”

For the next hour, weworked on Lucas’s solo, and at first, Josh wasn’t convinced that “Hot For Teacher” was a workable song to strip to. The tempo was fast paced, and there was a lot of dialogue outside of the lyrics. It wasn’t exactly sensual or erotic either, no hip thrusting or gyrating in the opening minute. But I think that’s what I liked best about the new routine; the suspenseful lead-up. Lucas was a pleasant surprise—morethan pleasant. He was the gift you thought you knew you were getting until you opened it and POW … hello, best present ever! I didn’t want to ‘unwrap’ him for the audience right away. I wanted to tease them and make them question the character in front of them. I wanted them shocked in the very best way possible.

Pretending to flick his imaginary suspenders, Lucas walked across the room somewhat like Charlie Chaplin.

I laughed and covered my face.

Josh just shook his head. “See? I don’t have to do much; he’s already a nerd.”

“Nerdandhot as fuck teacher.” Lucas shrugged off the nerdy persona like a snake would shed its skin and strode toward me.

“What are you doing?” I asked, grabbing a cushion for a shield.

“If I had to write a report card on you, young lady,” he said, trailing his hand down his chest. “I’d give you straight Bs for Blows my—” His hand stopped to cup his cock.

Josh almost spat his scotch. “That was lame, dude.”

I nodded my agreement.

“Actually, I would give you As.” Lucas sat down beside me. “How’s your foot?”

“Good, now that the painkillers have kicked in.”

“Painkillers or scotch?”

I giggled. “Both, I think.”

He took my glass from my hand and skolled the rest of it, his eyes mischievous as they pinned me over the rim.

“Hey! I was drinking that.”

“You shouldn’t mix medication with alcohol.” He jumped up and swept his eyes across the room. “I’m gonna need a chair, a desk, a blackboard and chalk—”

Throwing my hands in the air, I looked to Josh who shrugged with amusement. “Clearly, I don’t have that stuff here,” I said to Lucas.
