My pillow wasLuke.
I opened my eyes, staring at his muscular chest my head was lying on top of. Definitely Luke.
Suppressing a sigh, I closed my eyes again, drawing in a deep breath. Yeah, now I remembered our banter last night. Him offering me to let me boss him around, his easy-going smiles. Us stumbling into the kitchen, too tired to cook, ending up ordering pizza, eating it on my couch, and falling into bed afterward.
Nothing had happened. Well, we’d cuddled, and laughed, and yawned together. There’d been a sweet little goodnight-kiss, but that was it. I was almost disappointed, though I’d been in no shape to do anything else, and Luke had been right to postpone things.
My heart warmed thinking about his jokes while gently telling me he wouldn’t do anything without my explicit consent. It was sweet. He was sweet. A little rough around the edges from time to time, incredibly hard on himself, and still lost in grief over his failed career, but… underneath all that, he was a gentle soul. I was sure of that.
This time, my sigh was a lot more content, and I threw my arm over Luke’s stomach, snuggling in closer. His chest was rising and falling with deep, even breaths, the warm air puffing against my forehead. He had one arm firmly around my waist, pressing me close to him, which meant my morning-wood was rubbing against his outer thigh. Not that I minded. I liked being so close to him, but… my morning wood also liked the friction. A lot.
I licked my lips, thinking about all the possibilities. He was in my bed. Naked, as was I. I could wake him up with a blowjob. Or wake him up with a kiss. We could trade lazy hand jobs or blowjobs. We could make out like teenagers before showering together. Damn, I definitely wanted to shower with him again.
“Morgen,” Luke mumbled, his chest rising with a deep breath.
“Morning,” I answered, keeping my eyes closed. I wanted to bask in this moment just a little longer, wanted to enjoy the peaceful morning until I had to act like a responsible adult, get up, and start my day.
“How have you been sleeping? Do you feel rested now?” Luke whispered, his words ghosting over face. He started drawing circles on my hips, and even though the gesture was innocent, my cock took notice, twitching against Luke’s thigh.
“I slept like a baby,” I said, realizing this was the best I’d slept in weeks, maybe even months. “Though that phrase is really weird, don’t you think? Babies are known for keeping people up at night yet sleeping like a baby means the exact opposite.”
Luke laughed. “Did you secretly drink coffee already? How can you think about stuff like that while I can barely keep my eyes open.” He yawned as if wanting to highlight his words. His voice was still a little scratchy, and his hair wasn’t artfully tousled; it was just a mess, sticking up in every direction, which was sexy in and of itself. Seeing him first thing in the morning… did something for me. I usually didn’t let my hookups stay the night, so having Luke in my bed was special.
“No. I just slept really well… you’re an awesome pillow.”
Luke snorted. “I’ll be your pillow anytime. Just say the word.”
“Word.” I laughed, nuzzling my face against his chest. His nipple was right in front of me, like I could open my mouth and nibble at it. But I wasn’t sure if it was the right time for that. I was still comfortable, warm, a little sleepy, and I just wanted to stay like this forever.
“You need to be careful,” Luke murmured serenely. “I might never leave if you keep saying things like that.”
His sentence made me instantly more aware. I turned my head until I could see his face, though it was an awkward angle and I couldn’t really look into his eyes. “Are you okay, Luke?” I asked seriously. “Is your cabin all right? I know a few of the cabins out there are in less than stellar condition.”
“Oh…äh…” He cleared his throat, a blush creeping up his neck. “Thank you for worrying, Zayne. That’s really sweet of you. But I’m okay. The cabin is fine. It’s just… empty, I guess.”
The question to ask him to let me visit him was on the tip of my tongue, but I swallowed it back down. He’d been very evasive about his living conditions, and I didn’t want to pressure him into letting me come by.
“Empty?”
“Yeah.” He nodded. “After my accident, I was barely ever alone, you know? At first, my brother and parents stayed over so much, I was starting to think they’d secretly moved in with me. Then there was the time I spent in various hospitals or rehabilitation centers. I mean, I had single rooms most of the time, but there were always other people there. So I’m hyper aware of being alone. Out in the woods. With blond or cinnamon-colored black bears.”
“What?” My eyes widened.
“Sorry. That was a joke. When I first got here, I googled if there were any bears here, and I found an article telling me all about how black bears actually didn’t need to be black. Not gonna lie, I was a little afraid about bears on my porch. Anyways, I bought bear spray — just in case — but haven’t seen a bear yet.”
He said he was afraid, but his voice said he was disappointed he hadn’t seen a bear.
“Well, there are plenty of bears out there… not just the animal kind,” I said jokingly. “You just have to keep your eyes open.”
“Nah.” Luke shook his head. “I got myself a hipster-hippie; I don’t need a bear.”
My heart skipped a beat before speeding up and hammering in my chest, though I really didn’t appreciate his hipster-hippie comment. I didn’t like the deprecating way the term hipster was often used now, so even though he didn’t mean anything by it, the nickname left behind a bitter taste. Still, him giving me a nickname was sweet.
I shifted, the motion pressing my cock firmer against his thigh. Fuck, that felt good!
“Hmm…” Luke hummed appreciatively. “I think you’re awake enough now.”
“To?” I prompted, bracing my head on my arm to get a better look at him. His playful smirk was a sight for sore eyes. One corner of his mouth was pulled upwards into a smile, making his eye crinkle, while the other corner was only tilted upwards the slightest bit.
