EXPERTS SAY HE MIGHT BE INSTITUTIONALIZED FOR DEPRESSION!
Chapter 5
Luke
I hadn’t planned on staying the night, but when I woke up, I knew it was the next morning. At some point we must’ve fallen asleep. And Zayne must’ve done something because I was trapped beneath a sheet. What the fuck? Why was it tucked beneath the side of the bed?
I sighed, stilling my legs.
No getting up for me right now.
That was okay. Zayne was still firmly attached to me, his leg thrown over mine, his arm wrapped around my chest, his head placed on my shoulder. My right arm was a little numb from his added weight, but that was okay. I didn’t mind.
This was good. More than good. Perfect.
I closed my eyes, and for a couple of seconds, I just breathed.
I didn’t feel different than before, then again, I’d never seen virginity as something that changed you when you lost it. My muscles felt pleasantly sore like they did after a good workout. A fun one, not one of the punishing drills my coach had been an absolute master at.
I could probably stay right here for a couple more hours, but I started noticing things. Like my body odor. Or the fact that there was dried cum on my stomach and in my pubes, and every time I moved, those fucking flakes came off and it just felt… weird.
However, Zayne was still fast asleep, so I just stayed the way I was and tried focusing on him, not on me. His woodsy smell, his breath fanning over my chest, his fingers tightening, gripping my side harder.
It took quite some time of peaceful quiet until Zayne rose.
At first, he stiffened like he was confused by the presence of someone in his bed. But after a second, he relaxed, melting against me again, letting out a contented sigh.
“Guten Morgen,” I whispered, my right hand playing with his braid. His hair really was silky to the touch.
“Morning,” Zayne mumbled, turning his head until he hid his face in my armpit. “I don’t wanna get up.”
“Okay.” I shrugged. “I’m unemployed. I’ve got time.”
That isn’t the whole truth,I reminded myself. Lying to him, even though I wasn’t sure it technically was a lie, just felt so fucking wrong. Especially now, after our night together.
And I did have something to do. I’d promised Moritz to video call and show him my cabin. I’d put it off for the last couple of days because I knew he’d have things to say about the sheer size of the place. He’d find it too extravagant. A waste of money and space. The biggest problem was that he was at least partially right. It was a little too extravagant for my usual tastes, and it was definitely too big for me.
But at the same time, I didn’t want to move again because I was actually starting to like my mansion next to the woods a lot.
“But I don’t have time,” Zayne whined. “I need to make a couple of batches of soap, I need to cut the loaves I did yesterday and stamp them, and I need to pack the orders that’ve come in via my online shop. Oh, and I have a meeting with the construction crew that’s supposed to start working on my new store on Monday.”
“It’s Saturday,” I said, a little baffled.
“Soo…?”
“It’s… the weekend? Like… you’re supposed to take time off?” I mean I’d worked on the weekends, but that came with the whole being a pro-athlete thing.
“You’re cute.” Zayne smiled and briefly kissed my cheek. It wasn’t even a real kiss, just his lips brushing my cheek, yet the shiver that surged through me was very real. I had gooseskin… no… goose-something to prove it. “But I can’t afford to take weekends off, especially during the next couple of… probably months. I don’t have any employees and let me tell you: that is not by choice. Finding good, reliable employees is fucking hard.” He sighed; his beautiful face marred by worry-lines. I desperately wanted to kiss it better, but I wasn’t sure if that was okay.
Goosebumps! That was it.
I mean, he kissed my cheek, so he probably wasn’t angry I’d stayed the night, but I had no idea about proper hook-up-etiquette. Hell, was this a hook-up? Because I definitely wouldn’t say no to a date.
The guy’d taken my virginity for fucks sake. It might not have been precious to me, but it wasn’t like I’d have just let any random weirdo take it.
“That sucks,” I said, deciding to play it safe. Well, at least for all of one sentence. “At least have a shower with me, okay? Because I’mklebrig.” I scrunched up my nose.
