I lean my head back and sigh as I ease my pussy down over his cock, taking him in one delicious inch at a time until he fills me so deeply and completely, I lose my breath on a gasp. His big arms grab my waist. His tongue lathes my tight nipples as I move up and down over him.

"Nev," he growls as I move over him with long, slow movements. "You're mine, Nevada Mason. You've always been mine."

I sigh and kiss him once on the lips while still taking in his cock over and over again. "Hmm, I was just thinking the same thing about you, Zander Wilde."

"My guardian angel is here with vegetable soup. She's trying to talk me into eating it, but it has a lot of colors that I don't usually eat," Dad says. No hello or hey, he just starts right into his phone call.

"Send her my way," I say.

"She's here to see me. Get your own goddamn guardian angel." He hangs up.

After a long day at work, I'd just gotten out of the shower when he called. I get dressed and head to the main house. I know my dad, and he'll keep Nev there for as long as he likes.

I take the front steps two at a time and walk through the front door. I can hear them arguing, playfully, in the kitchen. Nev is standing in a tight white sweater looking every bit the guardian angel. Her arms are crossed as she scowls at Dad. He's sitting at the table staring at a bowl of soup as if it might grow arms and legs and attack him.

Nev looks up as I walk in. "For a man who is considered the badass of the century around town you'd think a bowl of cooked carrots and peppers wouldn't scare him so much."

"Did you hear that, Z, I'm the badass of the century," Dad brags. He lifts the spoon like a chubby old toddler and dips it in the soup, cautiously as if it might actually attack him.

Nev is fighting an amused smile. Dad lifts the spoon to his mouth, blows on it and pushes it in fast, like a spoonful of medicine.

Nev and I wait for him to swallow. Dad nods. "Hmm, very good. Not bad. I think I'll drop a big handful of cheese in to make it even better."

Nev tilts her head at him. "Then you might as well skip the vegetable soup and just go back to a buttered piece of steak."

"Well, if you say so," Dad says.

"Just remember," Nev says, "the next time your heart decides it wants to give up, your guardian angel might not be nearby."

Dad leans back and stares up at her. "But if you're my guardian angel, you'll swoop in from wherever you are cuz that's what angels do." He looks at me for confirmation.

I laugh. "Old man, what the fuck do you think you did in this life to earn a guardian angel?"

Dad shrugs. "I'm sure if I put my mind to it, I can think of something." He snaps his fingers once. "One time I helped an old lady cross the street."

"You never did that."

Dad sighs. "Guess not and now I'm the one who needs help crossing the fucking street." He sits forward and lifts up the spoon. "Maybe I'll eat the soup. You never know. Might reverse aging and find myself wife number five."

"Heard enough nonsense. Eat your fucking vegetables." I walk over and take hold of Nev's hand.

"See you later, Finn," she says as I hurry her out the door.

It's late afternoon and the sun is low and the horizon is the color of pink frosting. It leaves long shadows over the ranch. A cool breeze kicks up enough to carry the smell of fresh hay across the yard.

"It's such a beautiful night," Nev says as she stares dreamily at the sky.

"It certainly is," I say as I stare at her perfect profile. "Nevvie, have I told you recently how fucking nuts I am about you?"

She smiles and turns to me, instantly pressing her body against mine. "You might have mentioned it recently, but a girl never minds a little repetition."

I wrap my arms around her and kiss her. "Nevvie, I'm fucking nuts about you."
