CHAPTER11
Lost and Found
TREASURE LORD
“Babe, I have to deal with this,” Achilles grumbles.
“Uh-oh, what happened?” I ask.
My husband’s eyes skim my body as I lay across the velvet chaise on my side with my hand propping up my head. We were moments away from christening this piece of very expensive furniture when he got a phone call. There are phone calls he ignores and then there those he takes. After every ring, a digital voice repeated 911, which meant he had to take the call.
“But first…” When Achilles gets up, his cock is at attention and aimed at me. I know what he must do first. We’ve been doing a whole lot of it lately, even before our wedding day. Can a couple have too much sex?
He stops. “What’s wrong?”
I’m frowning as I gnaw on my lower lip, working out how to put what’s on my mind into words. I think I got it.
I spiral my legs off the chaise to sit up. “I’m scared.”
His frown deepens. “Scared of what?”
“That this is going to fizzle out one day.”
“What?” he asks, leaning away from me yet remaining so close. “Sex?”
I nod gently.
“Ah, I see.” He sounds equally relieved and compassionate of my feelings as he finishes walking to me and sits down beside me. “Of course, it will. We’re newlyweds. And we’ve been fucking like crazy from the start. But, babe, that’s okay because you and I are more than just fucking. I love you, and I like you, very much. You’re a good time in and out of the bed.” He ends with the sexiest smile ever.
“Aww…” I simper and then elbow him playfully in the arm. “I like you very much too.”
We tumble into getting lost in each other’s eyes. It’s still so hard to believe that I fell in love with and married Achilles Lord. It’s crazy how life works out.
“So, tell me…what was your call about?”
“Oh, not yet,” he says and now Achilles is hovering over me. “On your knees.” And to help me get into position he takes me by the hips and guides my ass up in the air.
* * *
Postcoital and sexually satisfied,we have moved back to the bed. I lay across Achilles’s lap and we’re watching his laptop screen as he plays one of several videos. He’s told me that the housemaid found a diamond ring in the trash can in Orion’s room. Hotel management had the serial code on the inside of the band checked and saw that it belonged to a woman named Delilah O’Shay and was purchased at the Temple of Love, a place where quick weddings are performed, in the wee hours of the morning on our wedding date. I laughed because if I ever pictured Orion ever settling down with one woman, it would be a scenario where he would be too drunk to know what he’s doing. That’s exactly what happened because we’re looking at the scene play out on Achilles’s screen. It’s almost too comical to be true. And Delilah is totally out of it. I can’t understand a word she’s saying other than, “I love him so much.” And eventually she says, “I do.”
They’re making out—no, that’s not what it’s called. They’re sucking each other’s face as if they have to do it to keep a meteor from slamming into the planet and destroying mankind. And then…
I gasp. “Oh my God.” My mouth is caught open.
“What the fuck?” Achilles whispers in awe.
To cap off their wedding ceremony, Delilah takes off her panties, straddles Orion and they have sex on the front bench in the chapel. The officiant and others casually walk out of the room as if they’ve seen it all before.
Achilles closes his laptop. Speechless, we both look at each other.
Finally, I’m able to swallow and ask, “We have to go back to New York. You have to deal with this. They’re married.”
Achilles’s features tighten as he ponders the situation. We’re staying in a castle his family owns in Angus, Scotland. This is just the beginning of our honeymoon. We have three beautiful and solid weeks planned of traveling the world and making love from sun to sun.
“I don’t think either of them remembers any of this shit. Kurt also told me that Orion knocked a guy out with one punch after the guy pulled a gun on him and attempted to steal his watch.”
I gasp. “No?”
