The ups and downs are incredibly difficult to manage.

"Ready?" I ask, voice thick.

Blue watches me, looking unsure. "Sure."

I'm messing everything up.

"Care to explain why you're hiding?"

Grumbling under my breath, I flop back on the bed and look at Felix with my head hanging over the edge. "Not really."

He rolls his eyes, which looks funny upside down. "Too bad. What's going on, Dec?" he asks as he crouches in front of me.

"First, can I have a Spider-Man kiss?"

He smiles, making my stomach swoop with excitement. Doing as I asked, Felix presses his mouth against mine. It feels a bit odd upside down, but when he swipes his tongue against my lips, I open like I normally do.

It's over before I want it to be, but it's probably for the best because all the blood in my head is giving me a headache. I sit up with the help of my boyfriend who stays kneeling between my legs.

My cock jerks, happy to see its partner. Ignoring my boner, I answer his question, explaining that I just don't feel like I've gotten any closer to Blue. I tell him how worried I am about connecting with her if all I can do is make jokes and get tongue-tied around her.

He smiles, shocking me. "Then it's a good thing she's sleeping with us tonight."

"You asked her?"

Shaking his head, Felix rubs his hands up my thighs. "No,sheasked after dinner when you disappeared."

"Oh," I nod and take a deep breath. "That's good. It's good."

"Trust me?" Felix asks.

That's easy. "I trust you."

I'm startled awake by a choked scream that stops right as it starts. Heart pounding, I look around just as Felix flips the lamp on near his side of the bed.

Blue's sitting up, hands over her face as she shakes her head from side to side. Her shoulders are curled inward, making my throat tighten with sadness.

"Blue, baby," I whisper, trying not to scare her.

"I'm so sorry," Blue whimpers.

I don't like how she's hiding her face, but I understand she just needs a moment to collect herself. It's clear she's had a nightmare. Her first one since moving in with us.

She didn't have any when all of us were sleeping in the same room as her, so I'm wondering if I should text Jared and Roman to come to our room. We slept on Jared's floor the other two nights.

Felix pulls her hair away from her sweaty neck and blows cool air on her. A weight lifts off my chest as she sighs, relaxing into the feel of one of her men cooling her down.

"I'm sorry," Blue repeats, glancing at me.

My refusal of her apology is automatic. "No need to apologize. Want to talk about the nightmare?"

"No, I mean..." She wipes a tear from her cheek. I almost laugh when she angrily dries it on the blanket and grumbles about being sick of crying, but I hold it in because she's struggling. "I mean, I'm sorry for disrupting your life. You've pulled away and I..."

"Whoa, alright," Felix stops her, sitting up now and glaring at both of us. He looks at me as if to sayhere's your opening.

Sweating, I rub my hands on the sheets before grabbing her chin to make her look at me. "I'msorry. I was so stuck in my head about being what you need me to be that I've completely forgotten how to act around you. My tongue has been tied all day."

She frowns, reaches for my wrist, and just holds it where it is. "That's stupid."
