Dalton groaned, “She said May would be pushing it for her.” EJ snorted, “Good luck with that, man.” Dalton sighed, “If only Melanie still liked me… I could get her on my side. Mel did call to say Paige wanted me to propose. So, that’s progress. I’m planning it all out.”
Louis cleared his throat, “Since there appears to be free time while the womenfolk plan things, I think there’s a prisoner or two in our realm that we should visit.” I growled. EJ said, “Before we do that, I’d like Melanie’s Luna Ceremony to be Monday, little brother. Thursday at the latest.”
I nodded, “Elise knows that then. Correct?” EJ nodded. I said, “Then the women will figure that out. I will show up on that day and do what I do.” EJ nodded. Hastein opened a portal, and we stepped through. I raised an eyebrow at Dalton when I realized he came with us.
Dalton smiled asking, “What? I hate the guy. Besides, my mate is with yours and Dakota has everything under control. These two pricks hurt a member of my pack. They practically stole a girl I considered, and still do, as a little sister and turned her against me and my family.”
“Which made my first few moments with my mate strenuous and ridiculously hard. He’s got my Beta twisted up in knots right along with my Male Lead Warrior. My Uncle’s mate has been in tears practically every night because she thinks Ladybug hates her. I want a piece of this action.”
Gabe asked, “Would that be MaryBeth?” Dalton nodded, “Yes. MaryBeth is mates with my Uncle Dane. She talks to Melinda, her twin, all the time about this. So, Dane knows how upset Melinda is too which upsets MaryBeth further. That upsets Landon Lyons.”
“I’ve got a lot of angry wolves about this situation. Jayden has called multiple times because Landon is so upset. Dylan has had to calm Lucas down about it because Lucas wants to fly off the handle about his little brother being so hurt.”
I snorted, “None of them are more upset with this fucker than I am. He tried to markmymate. Trevor tried to take Melanie from me, repeatedly. He also physically and emotional abused her.” Hastein said, “I’d say my cousin has you all beat there. I’d be furious if someone tried to take my mate from me.”
I walked down into the dungeon and found Trevor huddled in a corner crying. Dylan jumped through a portal shouting, “AH HA! You were trying to have this moment without me, but I am a Ninja Assassin apprentice! I know things.”
I rolled my eyes guessing, “Elise told you, didn’t she?” Dylan gasped, “I cannot reveal my sources.” My Uncle Logan walked in behind him and nodded to us. Uncle Logan hugged Hastein, Louis, Gabe and then Hugo.
Gabe laughed, “Hello, Uncle. We mate less Cambridges finally have hope again of finding our mates.” Uncle Logan laughed, “You will find them. Why the renewed faith?” Gabe nodded to me saying, “His mate is why. Melanie knows lots of people, according to her. I’ve heard she can’t lie for shit.” That was true. Oden purred, “But it’s adorable.” It was.
Trevor snorted, “Melanie only knows useless people.” I popped into his cell and slammed him down on the ground. Hastein urged, “Let’s get him on the table.” I popped out with him and tossed Trevor away. I replied, “All in due time, cousin.”
I turned to Trevor ordering, “Fight me.” Trevor responded, “Umm, no. I’m good.” I asked, “EJ, did that sound like a question to you? Did my tone imply it was a question?” EJ answered, “I didn’t hear a question.” Hugo laughed, “Neither did I, little cousin.”
Trevor was shaking. I growled, “What’s the matter? You only like fighting girls who have been whipped, starved and are seriously dehydrated?” EJ added, “Or drunk. You forgot drunk out of her mind.” I snarled, “YOU BRANDED MY MATE!”
Trevor snorted, “Yeah, that bitch…” I roared in anger and Trevor pissed his pants. Oden snorted, “Are we sure he’s a wolf?” I snorted and spoke out loud, “Someone call mom.” EJ said, “Ok, that’s a weird request, but ok.”
Trevor’s voice shook as he continued, “I was only she talked about you a lot. I don’t want you. Besides, I gave her a choice every time I went to her in that hole to bring her up. All Melanie had to do was sleep with me to make it stop.” I snarled at him.
Someone tried to push past me. I turned, surprised to see Jason, Levi, and Tristan. Hastein had Jason wrapped in a hold and Levi had Tristan. I turned back to face my mortal enemy. Trevor smirked at me, “My name will always be on her.”
I growled and attacked him, punching him repeatedly. Trevor never got a single shot in on me. Hugo put a hand on my back saying, “If you want to continue with table fun times, you’ll have to have your mom or you heal him if you keep going. The other option is you have to stop hitting him now.”
I slammed Trevor onto the table and heard several cracks. I whispered, “Mom.” She popped beside me and put a hand on my back. I ordered, “Take his wolf.” My mom agreed, “If the wolf is innocent, I will.” Trevor looked terrified.
His friend, Francis, was already on another table. Jason and Tristan had him. Trevor shouted, “What? You can’t do that!” My mom snorted, “I fucking can do that. Now shut the fuck up while I talk to your wolf.”
EJ asked me, “Are you sure you want mom to do that? He won’t heal as well without his wolf.” I snorted, “If the wolf doesn’t deserve the torture, then he shouldn’t have to endure it.” Oden growled, “You know he does. Freya told us he wanted her.”
My mom confirmed, “His wolf deserves it. He wants Melanie just as much as Trevor does. He feels possessive of her, so while I commend you for thinking the wolf needed to be saved from Trevogre, this wolf has been corrupted by his human.” I snarled.
Oden came forward, “YOU DARED TO TRY AND TAKE MY MATE!” Trevor trembled. My mom kissed my cheek and said, “If you still want that wolf gone, I will take him away.” I shook my head, “No, I just wanted to confirm the wolf deserved what I have planned.”
My mom linked, “I’m leaving your dad here to be with you. Do whatever you need to fucking do. He deserves every second of it, as does his wolf.” I nodded. She said out loud, “Well, I’m back to Ceremony planning mode.” Mom popped out.
I grabbed Trevor and pulled him off the table. Trevor grumbled, “What was the point of putting me on the table if you were going to rip me off of it?” I growled, “To break your ribs. Also, your name is no longer on Melanie’s back. Just my name is on her neck now.”
Trevor snorted, “I know my name isn’t on her neck, but it IS on her back. Or did she not show you?” I snapped a boulder like the one I’d seen Melanie hugging when he whipped her. I forced him to his knees and told him, “My mom and I healed her back after his Luna removed the spell on her back.” I pointed at Dalton who glared at him.
Dalton scoffed, “Don’t give me that look. If you’re looking for sympathy, you will find none from me. You took my pack member and verbally and physically abused her. You are disgusting. My mate also loathes you.”
Trevor said, “We did what we were told. Melanie will never forgive you for refusing to read her appeal.” Dalton snarled, “I never got a damn appeal because she was NEVER banished!” Trevor laughed, “She thinks you did though.” Dalton replied,“Ladybug knows damn well knows now that I didn’t get the appeal.” Melanie did know that.
I conjured a whip with silver tips. I said, “You should’ve ignored what you were told. You didn’t want to because you are evil. You tortured an innocent girl and tried to take my mate from me.” Trevor sighed, “We didn’t think she was really your mate.”
I brought the whip down and he screamed bloody murder. I growled, “You knew it was a possibility she was mine. You were possessive of Melanie, and SHE IS MINE!” I whipped him fifty times before I stopped.
