Alexander watched as one of the Supernatural Council representatives answered his phone. The other one smirked, “She’s a pretty thing. I’d have marked her if I was you, Alpha. I can’t wait to interrogate her.” I snarled and punched him in the face.
EJ popped in between us growling, “You will not touch my brother’s, Luna. I’ll be filing a complaint against you for your behavior here. We have already told you Melanie is marked.” The other man announced, “We are leaving.” The guy I hit gaped at him, “WHAT?!” The first guy grabbed him and shimmered them out.
EJ looked at me asking, “Are you ok?” I didn’t answer him. I linked Fowler, “Tell me Melanie is still here.” Fowler answered, “She is. We are ready to step in, but I don’t think we will have to. They folded so fast it was a little sad.”
“There are things we don’t know about. It’s like the Muffin Luna knows them, personally. The Supernatural Council representatives formally issued her an invitation to come with them. Your mate told them to eat dirt. Damn. They left before the Witch Luna could curse them. Don’t you know it was gonna be good?” Yes.
Fowler continued, “Well, have no fear. The Witch Luna was prepared for them to leave, but now we don’t know what the curse was.” I told my group, “They all left, and Paige cursed them. Elise, you should probably warn Dalton and Dakota about that.”
Elise snorted, “I really like that woman. I’m so glad she’s going to marry my brother.” EJ asked me again, “Are you ok?” I growled, “Would you be ok? They don’t even know what mymate truly is, and they want to take her from me.” EJ stated, “They won’t take her from you, brother.”
I popped to Melanie with EJ right behind me. I promptly yanked Melanie against me. Oden was enraged at the thought of someone taking her. Melanie stuck to the plan she previously had. I looked at my brother and was gone.
The need to claim my mate was pounding in my ears. No one was taking her from me ever again. Melanie McAlister was mine. She was with me now, and I would not stand by and watch if someone so much as said they would take her away. I claimed her for several hours before we fell asleep.
I woke up to yelling and bolted up. Toby asked, “Are you alright, Alexander? What happened?” I looked around and asked, “How did I get to the gym?” Toby raised an eyebrow and exclaimed, “Oh lord. Now he’s sleep training. This is insanity.”
Then another me walked into the gym. Toby clapped and said, “Thank god. You being in the Ribbon is SO much better than sleep training.” The other me smirked, “We are in the Ribbon. Wait, why? None of my siblings have gone in yet. Who is our mate?”
Oden sighed in my head. I told the other me, “You know exactly who our mate is.” Phil yelled, “I KNEW IT! HA! IN YOUR FACE ALPHA COUSIN!” Gage called, “Me too. I knew.” The other me rolled his eyes, “Yeah, yeah, you both told me so. How did this me meet her?”
I answered, “Angela made it happen.” Phil urged, “Do say his mate’s name, for me.” I said, “Melanie McAlister.” Phil clapped his hands, “I repeat, I KNEW IT!” Gage winked at me. Oden linked me, “I knew first.”
I asked out loud, “How old is Melanie here?” Alexander tilted his head answering, “She’s fifteen.” I growled, “FUCK!” EJ popped in and said, “Whoa. So, we have two Alexander’s and two moms.” I laughed, “Two moms? Which one is she?”
EJ said, “One that is insistent we go get Melanie. She’s gotten the allies assembled and had Sir Arthur release people from compulsions. The main room is a shit show. She has creative curse words.” I smiled saying, “My mom is here then.” It wasn't a question because it had to be her.
The other me asked, “Why are we going to get Melanie? And why do we need our allies to do it?” I sighed, “Because she’s not in New York and never was. At least here it’s only been a year for her. You need to prepare yourself because I don’t know what we are walking into.”
EJ asked, “How prepared?” I let my wings come out while everyone gaped at me. Gage said, “Getting someone to flood the main house in whiskey.” I told them all, “This prepared.” I quickly chanted so my wings would disappear.
The other me was now pissed, that much was clear. I told Phil, “Your mate is Melanie’s friend, Sierra Kern. Or she is in our reality.” Phil said, “Well, let’s get to rescuing people in Nashville apparently. Because that is where Sierra Kern is.”
I told Gage, “Your mate is in Sugar Loaf Mountain’s pack in Maine. Her name is Abigial.” Gage put both his thumbs up at me. The other me growled, “What the FUCK is Melanie doing in Nashville of all fucking places?”
I answered, “It’s a whole honest to god plot. Melanie was kidnapped.” EJ and the other me growled along with several Warriors. That wasn’t really surprising since it was announced that she was their Luna. Even if she hadn’t been, she still was their ally’s daughter.
I grabbed them both and popped into the main room. I smiled greeting, “Mom.” My mom turned around and asked, “Are you my Alexander?” I snorted, “Our lives are so weird that we have to ask that question. Yes, I am.” I sent her my love in the bond.
We could feel others in the Ribbon to a degree when we were in their reality, but our connection would be stronger. My mom came over, hugged me, and kissed my cheek. She said, “I guess we should be on the fucking lookout for your dad and Melanie.”
I snorted, “If my Melanie is here, she’s probably plotting the murder of the Black Path leadership.” Drake snarled, “My daughter is in Black Path?!” I nodded, “Yes, and she also thinks you're dead. Along with Sam and T.”
My mom sighed, “I already explained the basics.” I nodded and linked her, “Did you tell them about her being the white wolf?” My mom answered, “I told this Eric and me. So, they will explain to her family later.”
I nodded knowing that would work. They would tell them privately and everyone could plan. I did need to tell the other me though. I grabbed him while everyone planned what was going to happen. EJ and Elise weren’t leaving his side though.
I quickly spoke our space unheard chant. EJ asked, “Why did you do that?” I explained, “I was going to talk to just me, but….” Cayden and Cassie portaled in. Oh god. I needed to talk to him too. I inclined my head to them.
Cassie popped over to us, and I included them in the chant. The other me asked, “What’s going on?” I said, “Two things. One Cayden, you know Melanie.” Cayden frowned saying, “No, I don’t. I’ve never met her. In fact, no one really has.”
I told him, “Ashley Griffen is Melanie McAlister.” Cayden shouted, “SON OF A BITCH!” Cassie gasped, “What? He just met her a few months ago.” I nodded, “Yeah, that’s Melanie.” Cayden was furious. He took out his phone and texted someone, probably Micah. My Uncle Bjourn portaled in.
Elise asked me, “What’s the second thing?” I answered, “My mom told this reality version of my parents, but I wanted to tell the other me. The rest of you can follow their lead on how this comes out, but Melanie is the white wolf.”
“It’s why Oden has white markings. His mate is the white wolf named Freya. Dylan has a bunch of research on the white wolf from his parents. You can get a head start on how to protect Melanie with it. We are playing a bit of catch up.”
Cayden said, “I’m sorry, are you talking about the legend I’ve heard at bonfires in the pack? That white wolf legend?” I nodded, “That would be the one.” EJ said, “Oh my god.” The other me said, “I don’t care. Let’s go get my mate because she shouldn't be in Nashville. That’s no place for any wolf let alone one from around here.”
