Sierra laughed, “So you do plan to take the Supernatural Council down, just not yet? Whew, I thought you’d hit your head. You have been making plans since they refused to get your family justice.” Yes, I had because they deserved it for not even hearing me out. Now, I knew they could’ve just told me my family wasn’t dead. That made them complicit with the Ring.
I told her, “One plan was that I would pass Haley the information. Or Bjourn… Or Aiden… Or Hastein. I’ve met him now… and he can’t just up and change his schedule.” Sierra sighed, “You’re really never letting that go.” I was not.
I continued, “Or Cayden… who would pass it along. The options were and still are… limitless. There’s your mate, mine, Dalton, Dakota and…” Sierra interrupted me, “I get it. I got it when you said the options are limitless.”
I smirked and began to write up schedules. I got into EJ, Eric, and Xander’s files. I wasn’t surprised to see the names I’d gathered were all coasting. It wasn’t too hard to come up with their new workouts. I used some I had in the past based on what I’d seen today.
I emailed Bradford his first because that was the most complicated one due to his schedule. I worked with what I had though. Bradford was going to be VERY busy for the foreseeable future… but if he stuck with it… he was going to do great things here.
Freya linked, “He could be in league with his mom.” I disagreed, “It doesn’t feel right. I didn’t get a single hint of deception from him today. If he hadn’t moved out… maybe. If he hadn’t approached me for help… highly likely. Someone like Bradford doesn’t approach me if there’s a plan to get me out of the way.”
Freya agreed, “That does seem more in line with him. His wolf felt he was sincere and was quite happy about it too.” I replied, “And his wolf would know if he was being deceitful. He wouldn't be happy or optimistic.” I could tell Freya agreed with me.
I got back to Patricia. I silently said in my head… Please don’t be as dumb as I think you are. It didn’t take long for me to prove she was. I quickly put up a calendar block on the Connerscalendars for the following morning. It was really easy to get access to.
I frowned and mentally added a task for myself. I needed to fix that…. it shouldn’t be that easy. I shook myself and muttered, “Another time.” The Supernatural Council had a very thick file of information Patricia had given them. This woman been sending them information since before Bradford was born.
I snarled, “SERIOUSLY!” I hit my computer and put my head down. Sierra asked, “Is it bad?” I said, “We will both have to TRY not to kill her.” Sierra frowned, “But that means she said things about Phil.” I nodded, “She did. About how his wolf is faster and stronger than normal wolves. Which… duh… he’s half Hackura… but she’s reporting on all the partials… in this pack… and the ones she knows.” Sierra growled.
We’d just calmed ourselves down when Xander walked into the office. I quickly looked back towards my computer. Sierra linked, “Smooth.” I gasped, “ME? You look REALLY mad… at least I’m hiding my face.” Sierra snorted in response, “Your Xander would’ve known that something was up either way.” She was right. I evaded his questions and with the training plans I’d worked on.
Sierra linked me, “You need to step up your evasion game when talking to a partial Fairy. That worked in Black Path, but it won’t work here.” My friend had a point. Freya linked, “Why aren’t we telling him?” I explained, “We need to know how big this is. He’d get mad and go at Patricia now… and explode her whole head right off.” Freya chuckled, “Ok.”
Xander was surprised I’d gotten into their pack files. Sierra linked me, “They do remember that you hacked their competitors, right? Their Warrior files are easy compared to that.” I agreed, “Especially since I know Micah’s code. It’s not like Micah would give that to someone he didn’t trust.”
Sierra snorted, “You’re scary, but we’ve told you this.” I didn’t think I was scary. I talked to Xander about the wolf less. According to their files, they were involved in things… but I think there was an intimidation factor.
I quickly sent out an email based on the time blocks to the wolf less in the pack and put it on the gym schedule. I emailed the Beta’s and Gamma’s the change. Phil appeared to be amused about it. Gage was ecstatic and I could feel Xander was definitely amused.
My annoyance filled me again because Patricia reported Phil, his cousins, and his siblings could all be faded in human and wolf form. It was one thing to think they could… it was another to outright know and have it written down. IDIOTS! Who wrote this stuff down?!
I explained what I’d done with calendars and schedules. They were really stuck on me getting into the calendars and the files. It really wasn’t hard. I was getting agitated because I wanted to dive into this and find all the information there was to be found.
Xander got back to his point about something going on. It wasn't like I was hiding this from him… I just needed more information… and I knew there would be more. I needed to know about the allied packs. I explained that I needed a bigger office… where I could find more screens.
I needed at least three screens right now. Five would be better. Maybe we should just go to my place in Nashville. Sierra acted surprised that I thought this was a long standing thing. To be fair… we didn’t know if anyone else was reporting from the pack. There would be a lot of money to be made from people wanting to know more about the partials in packs… especially the ones around here.
Xander was letting me use Elise’s office. I was happy he was going to get me my own office, though. I really did need a specific set up. I left the gym office and found Fowler waswaiting. He smiled greeting, “Muffin Luna, I will show you to Elise’s office.” I nodded, “Let’s jog.”
Fowler snorted, “Your version of jogging is probably sprinting for me.” I frowned, “Well… I’ll meet you at the house then.” I jogged back, but Fowler was right. He was putting a lot of effort into keeping up with me. We made it the house in decent time.
Eric laughed, “Where’s the fire?” Haley said, “Uhh nowhere. There is literally no fucking fire.” Eric smiled saying, “Right you are, Angel. Why are you in a rush, Melanie?” I picked at my shirt, “Umm… I need to run something down. There’s a thing… I was right… but I need more information.” Haley urged, “Go on then. Eric has a meeting anyway.”
Fowler was breathing hard, “This way.” He led me to Elise’s office, and I looked around. I cringed because she only had one monitor. Fowler asked, “Is there a problem?” I admitted, “I was hoping for more monitors.” Fowler laughed, “How many?”
I grumbled, “I could work with three.” Fowler wryly said, “That’s not what I asked. How many do you need?” I answered, “Five.” Fowler nodded, “I’ll get you the extra monitors, Muffin Luna.” I squealed, “Really?” Fowler snorted, “Yes. The Beta’s practically have an OfficeMax of supplies around here. I’ll be back with the monitors.”
I found a coffee pot and started some because I was going to need it. Fowler came back in with Chason, KJ, and another guy. I jolted realizing exactly who he was. What was Egres doing here? I pretended not to know so I asked, “What’s your name?”
Egres smiled at me but didn’t answer. I was positive Egres spoke English, but maybe he didn’t… there was no way he didn’t though… but I guess… I could try Latin. I switched to Latin, “Quid est tibi nomen (What’s your name)?”
Egres laughed, “I speak English, Duchess Luna Melanie. I am Egres.” I tilted my head clarifying, “Xander’s Head Guard?”Egres asked, “And how would you know that?” I blushed, “Umm… I…. and… you… I’m not… a Duchess… or Luna… yet.”
Egres replied, “Ah, but you are in our eyes. The moment Alexander found you that’s what you were.” Fowler asked, “Where are we setting these up?” I directed the set up while I wondered what Xander’s Guard was doing here.
Egres wouldn’t be assigned here alone. They were also not with Xander if Fowler found them. I frowned realizing they were following me then. That made some things complicated. Sierra walked in as they left, and I started drinking coffee.
Sierra asked, “Who was the guy with Fowler and Chason?” I snorted, “One of the members of Xander's Guard. His Head Guard to be exact.” Sierra asked, “Why is Egres here? Is there a threat against Xander?” I put my hair in a bun and gave her a look.
