I argued, “He’s not paralyzed…. His back is broken though. It will heal… eventually…well and somewhat painfully.” EJ yanked him off the table snarling. The others were detained so I sat back down. I looked at Essie and Kelsey debating….but ultimately they deserved their real shot.

I linked Cayden, “Can you ask Cassie to pop in please? Because… I have an idea… and…” My mate’s sister popped into the room in the next second. Linking whoever was a part of a pack was seriously cool.

Cayden replied, “This is the best meeting ever. You might have to come join mine. They get very boring.” Xander had meetings with him and other Squadron Leaders…so… I could totally come… and join some… that was a thing I could do.

I told Kelsey and Essie, “Step out with Cassie and tell her what you’d rather be wearing then come back in here and present this to us with YOUR ideas. I want to hear if you have ways to overcome their serious…. and somewhat egregious errors. I think you do. At minimum, I know Essie does… with all the eye rolling she was doing.”

Essie asked, “You noticed that?” I answered, “Umm… every Beta blood did.” Dad agreed, “We did, and I was going to ask you some questions. I believe my daughter’s presence emboldened you to act how you’ve always wanted to.” Probably… well the me that was Ashley Griffen… so… yeah.

I continued, “Alpha Emmett Daniels and Beta Female Emma Frost have a company in the same business as yours. They just started out though…. which I’m sure is why this proposal was being heard instead of automatically going with them. Which… is a choice… that one could call… wrong.” Tristan busted out laughing while Xander smirked at me.

I continued, “Anyway… not speaking of choices… that were wrong…. I’m sure if you impress Alpha Emmett and Beta Female Emma, they’d want you to work for them. It would be a more lucrative deal for every Alpha in here….and on the phone, as they are allies with everyone. The company is close to the border with this pack. If they didn’t want you to move there, you could move here.”

Max agreed, “You could. We’d welcome you in this pack no matter how your presentation goes. I would like to hear your ideas though.” EJ chimed in, “So would I.” Xander nearly purred, “I agree with my brothers and my mate.”

Both girls looked at Cassie cautiously. Cassie smiled saying, “I already know the story and I’m sad I missed the meeting. I did hear it’s being recorded. Let’s head outside, and I can snap you the outfits you want. If you have any visuals you’d like to present, I can snap those too.”

Kelsey and Essie ran to me, both throwing their arms around me in a weird group hug. Kelsey whispered, “Thank you. You really are the voice of the forgotten. I was hoping you’d save us as soon as Alpha Alexander said your name. We heard that Ashley Griffen was really Melanie McAlister.”

Xander asked, “Do you need me to heal your wrist?” I rolled my eyes muttering, “I didn’t hurt her.” Tristan linked, “Buzzing like that bug we all know and love right now.” I pursed my lips…because I was right. Freya agreed, “You are. She’s perfectly fine.”

Kelsey laughed, “She didn’t. Had I moved that would be a different story.” I conceded, “True….but you didn’t…so…you’re fine. That’s the takeaway here…which someone should tell Si about. Because only one person was seriously injured by me…it feels like great restraint on my part.” Everyone busted up laughing, and I could tell only a few people realized I was one hundred percent serious.

Kelsey and Essie walked out with Cassie. I told the guys in their group, “Take notes gentlemen and notice what you passed on by being sexist. If you had acknowledged that other people could give their input, you’d have knocked this presentation out of the park.”

I warned, “Just so you know, I’ll look up every single person in your company. I’ll look to steal your talent for Alpha Emmett and Beta Female Emma Frost’s company. You’ll have mistreated anyone who was female, gay, bi, LGBT in anyway, or an Omega rank.” Freya growled, “How dare they.”

I continued, “Not to mention the men who weren’t macho enough for you because you have fragile egos. I’ll ruin yourdamn company. Not that you’ll be around to see it… so… just know it’s going to happen.”

I linked Xander, “Can you conjure me my computer?” My mate’s pride and lust was bouncing around inside me. Freya boasted, “You constantly prove you were the right choice for me.” I didn't know what that meant so I just hacked into the company while those men watched, restrained.

Fowler and Chason had come into the room at some point with KJ. They seemed to be around me a lot…so their presence tracked. The Beta blood guy who's back I broke asked, “How the hell did you hack into our company?”

I snorted, “You have a single circuit tumbler system guarding your personal information. It was pup’s play, and a little sad on your securities part.” Micah started laughing. Jason linked, “It was pups play to HACK into their company?” I replied, “Yeah… it was… like incredibly easy.”

I downloaded their information and stared at what was in front of me in anger. I growled, “You LABEL PEOPLE IN THEIR PERSONNEL FILE?! Gay McPaterson… flirts with gay wolves…. only use… Essie, Essie, blessed in the chest-y?! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!”

I punched him in the face then gathered the pertinent details, such as their names. If they weren’t a good fit at the company, I’d find them another place. A quick scan showed most would benefit Alpha Emmett and his twin sister, so I emailed them the files.

I told them both out loud, “You should be able to easily poach the names I sent you.” Alpha Emmett asked, “And how do you have my email?” I knew my brow furrowed answering, “Uhh I was a Female Lead Warrior… so… that was actually easy to get. Did you want me to send it to a different email? I can…” Alpha Emmett cut me off, “No, it’s fine.” Ok….well I had his personal one too…so…I had options.

I quickly sent another email to Elise. There were a few that would want to work for the cosmetology and hair salons she owned. I might have hacked some social media and emails to determine that, but they’d be happier in her employ.

Beta Female Emma squealed, “EMMETT, look at this! These people are good. Like REALLY good!” Alpha Emmett agreed, “I see that. Am I allowed to ask how Melanie knew about a company we’ve been developing for a while and just opened a few weeks ago? She just got here.”

I replied, “Umm… I don’t know why you wouldn’t be able to ask… people can choose not answer, but… I can answer that question. It’s because I know a lot of things. For example, there’s a few people here who Alpha’s Dalton and Dakota are going to want. They are architects and managers who specialize in malls. Their pack was taken over, and suddenly they work for an energy company.”

Dalton linked, “You don’t ever have to use my title.” Dakota said out loud, “That sounded wrong, and I hated it. You call me Dakota.” Umm… I could try? Freya agreed, “Trying is a good step.” Alpha Emmett frowned asking, “Why would they want those people?”

I answered, “Their mates want them to build a mall. They have to be looking into real estate and would be trying to get everything up and running quickly.” I hit send on my email and added, “The twenty names I sent them… will help them with that goal.”

Alpha Emmett snorted, “That makes sense that she knows that. They are her friends. I don’t care for the fact that Melanie’s good at evading and not answering the question asked.” I disagreed, “I did answer you… I know a lot of things… so…that’s actually an answer.” My dad chuckled.

Alpha Emmett asked, “Does anyone else think she’s adorable and scary? Because I do. Melanie hacked a well-protectedcompany in seconds and called it pup’s play.” I muttered, “It was… and it was NOT well protected.”

EJ cleared his throat, “Ladybug, I think we need to have you try to hack into our companies. For security purposes.” Uh oh. Freya sounded all too amused, “This will be good.” I blushed rambling, “Umm…. well…. there... oh look... Kels and Essie are back... we should hear their ideas. We all said we wanted to… so not hearing them would be rude... very rude.”

Xander’s amusement shot up my foot. Cayden was trying not to laugh and Micah looked like a pup in a candy story. EJ sighed, “We are not done with this conversation. Especially given your reply.” Dang it! Dad linked me, “What did you do?” I asked, “Huh? What? Me? No…you…not me…I didn’t do anything?” Dad was clearly trying not to laugh out loud but he was in the link.
