Kingsley pointed out, “I’ve been here for six months, and I’ve NEVER seen Dirsha attack without provocation. I have however seen these two women constantly lie and be found out for lying. Repeatedly. Seriously, once a day would be a generous tally of the lies they tell. About trivial shit too.”

“For example, you could ask these women what they ate for breakfast. Those two girls will LIE through their teeth about it even if you saw them eat the food. They will tell you that they didn’t have eggs and you were seeing things. It’s legit maddening.” So, they also wanted me to kill them too. Freya agreed, “I’m on board with this.”

Kingsley waved, “Anyway, Roflin spouts off to Dirsha about how she’s not ready for the position of his mate after he thought he was making progress on her attitude.” I interrupted, “I’m sorry… HER attitude? Did I just hallucinate you say herattitude? Surely, we are talking about his attitude.” Kingsley hummed while nodding her head, “He claimed he had an attitude.” Rolfin was dead, dead.

I muttered, “I’m actually appalled by all these words on a deep level. God, I should’ve brought my soon to be mother in law.” Haley would eat this guy for lunch. Freya agreed, “This sad excuse of a man would be charmed and dead based on what I recall of your calculations.” That was true.

Kingsley snorted, “Dirsha is opinionated, strong-willed, and very direct. She’s not a liar though.” One girl sighed, “You don’t even like Dirsha, Krissa.” Kingsley usually used alias’s that started with a K. Kingsley acknowledged, “No, I don’t, but I respect her. It should tell you something that I’m the one defending here since you know I don’t like her.”

“Dirsha is who she is. Our personalities don’t mix, and we aren’t friends. That doesn't mean I would stand idly by and let you railroad her. She deserves better than that, and honestly you should agree with me. The way she’s been treated is utterly appalling.”

I smiled because Kingsley was going to be a great Queen. She’d already be the Crown Princess if people would be where their schedules said they would be. Freya cackled in my head. Kingsley said, “Continuing the story.”

I shouted, “You’re not done? This story isn’t over? Why? Like dear god why? I’m legit appalled for this woman on every conceivable level already.” Kingsley snorted, “It’s not over, we haven’t got to why I’m stepping in.”

My eyes widened in legit horror. Kingsley explained, “THEN after telling Drisha she could not tell anyone you were mates in the first place. You got pissed off that she won’t talk to you after your blew up at her over nothing. You can’t take it. So, at a dinner with both your families present.” Why were their families at dinner together?

Kingsley spat out, “You took Dirsha outside and shout about her being your mate. THEN you make it sound like it was her idea not to tell anyone. All because she FINALLY snapped at you and said you didn’t want her as a mate.”

I interjected, “Umm she’s right. Statistically speaking the actions and words he’s displayed… plus he said he wanted her sister so… I don’t think that’s snapping so much as stating the actual truth.” Dirsha snorted, “Thank you.” I shrugged because I wasn’t even trying to help her….and I planned to. I was stating a fact at the moment though.

Kingsley scoffed, “Well, Rolfin here had the AUDACITY to say it wasn’t true. He used Dirsha’s reputation as a strong-willed woman to allow everyone to believe she didn’t want him.” I gasped, “He what? After everything he did?!” Freya encouraged me, “Go with one of your longer plans to kill him. He must suffer first.” Uh huh.

Rolfin argued, “I do want her and I can admit I was an idiot. I’m young and so is she. We made mistakes.” I was easily younger than he was. I snorted, “That’s a nice way of saying you're the worst mate of all time.” Kingsley snorted, “I’m not done.”

I yelled, “Oh for the love of god… you have to be done… for my sanity. How is Dirsha standing? I want to curl up in a ball thinking about it being me… and she’s still upright. It’s impressive.” Dirsha snickered into her hand.

Kingsley angrily charged on, “Roflin, you stood by as your father forced Drisha to move into your home. Then instead of insisting she get her own bedroom you put her in yours. Her family just packed her up and let her go without a fight.”

“Then an ex of hers stops by and you LOSE your SHIT. You know she hasn’t slept with anyone since she found out you were her mate. YOU cannot say the same and you still tried to force your mark on her neck and blame your inner Demon. WhileDirsha’s treacherous excuse of a family stood by and said that’s how strong willed Demon women get marked. Unbelievable.”

Freya agreed, “That is utterly deplorable.” I agreed. Honestly, how dare they! Rolfin angrily argued, “This is none of your business.” Kingsley shot back, “You made it mine when you tried to force her to be by your side forever, and her family didn’t stand up to you.”

I actually clapped. Several people shot a glare at me, but I didn’t care. Kingsley stated, “SOMEONE needs to stand up for Dirsha, so I’ll do it. She’s moving out of your home, Roflin. YOU, I’m mostly looking at Roflin but this applies to all of you, need to make this right with her. If I was her, I’d reject Rolfin and go no contact with the entire lot of you and never look back.”

I said, “Dirsha… umm… you don’t me, but if you want to do that… I can help get you out of here and start over.” Rolfin went to throw fire at me. Freya snarled, “How dare this whelp!” I warned him, “I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”

Roflin warned, “Don’t tell my mate she can leave me.” I replied, “Any mate can leave another… that’s just logic. If you wish to continue breathing…attempting to hurt me…and yes I said attempting…I’m faster than you could imagine and wouldn’t get hurt…but my mate is outside. Believe me when I say…. him feeling my pain…if you managed to hit me.”

“Or the feeling I was in danger….most likely probability is that my wolf would tell his…that you threw fire at me…because she doesn’t like you….meaning he’d come in here incredibly pissed off. That would end BADLY for you. It would align with my plans… but it’s not the current way I’m dealing with this.”

Kingsley laughed, “God, that would go so poorly for Rolfin. I would quite enjoy it myself.” Freya said, “Oden said we better not feel pain. He’s not telling Xander yet, but he’s ready to. They want to come in.” See? Her telling Oden was the most likely scenario here.

Dirsha spoke, “Don’t you dare hurt her, Rolf! I will never speak to you again. She’s being kind to me.” Rolfin whispered, “Dirsha, please. I am so sorry for all this. I need you.” That was crappy wording because it was still all about him.

Dirsha snorted, “You do need me because your Demon wants me, but you, the human side, want my sister.” Preach. Rolfin shook his head denying his own words, “No, I was just angry.” I hummed, “Umm… you thought you were alone and didn’t think of your mate at all.”

Rolfin shouted, “So?” I explained, “So, you saw the person you wanted and told her. Statistically, you were telling the truth because none of Dirsha’s actions have actually mattered to you. You wanted her to turn into her sister, but she remained herself because… she is herself. Your confession was very much the truth.”

“Maybe you’ve realized, since her ex showed up…that seeing your mate with someone else would gut you. Destroying you on a level you didn’t understand. That doesn’t mean you didn’t mean what you said to her sister at the time… because based on everything I’ve heard and your reactions… it was true when you said it.”

Roflin made a face at me but told Dirsha, “I’ve been friends with Nicha since we were kids. You and I have always had a rockier relationship.” I studied the crowd and found her sister for the first time and nearly let Freya’s snarl slip out. I just managed to contain it.

I yelled, “SHUT UP! Are they twins?!” They had to be. Kingsley answered, “Uh huh.” I gasped, “You told your mate’s TWIN SISTER, you wanted her? Gosh… that’s just so messed up. On every single level… that you meant it until her ex showed she was still desirable… is… gosh… umm…”

Rolfin interrupted, “You don’t know anything about us.” Kingsley snorted. I said, “Uhh I’ve heard enough. I could findout more in a matter of minutes. I can tell you that my mate is a triplet… I’d never tell his brother that I wanted him.”

“I like his brother as a brother in law and person… but not with any romantic interest. I never have even… not for a single, remote second thought of him in a romantic sense. I also knew this man as a pup and met him before I met my mate.”
