I had every right to throw myself into something wild and crazy to compensate for my brush with death.
I settled my hand on Reed’s cheek and kissed him again.
The rich aroma of masculine desire and pine assaulted my senses.
His lips were firm and warm, and he let me lead the kiss with a lingering touch of exploration.
He’d suggested the kiss, but I took control with a boldness my rescue had brought out.
Reed made a low sound, almost a groan.
It settled in my belly and tugged all my nerve endings until they flared to life, heightening my senses. I drew in a ragged breath and deepened the kiss.
Reed met me touch for touch, his tongue easing into my mouth and stroking alongside mine. I fisted my hand in his hair.
The rocking chair arm dug into my ribs when I tried to move closer.
Our knees bumped, and the blanket Tarron gave me earlier slid from my shoulders.
A prickle of awareness spread across the back of my neck. Tarron and Maverick slept close enough to hear us, and even the large living area couldn’t hide us if they woke up.
I needed Reed.
That single thought eclipsed everything else. “Should we find somewhere more private?” I asked between kisses.
Reed buried his head in the curve of my neck.
His hot breath sent a rash of delicious shivers over my skin when he unleashed a dark and sexy laugh. “That…or we invite them to join us.”
Electricity ran the length of my spine, shaking my entire body.
“What?” I couldn’t have heard him right. Men didn’t do things like that. They were all about having multiple women, but not sharing the same one. I’d never been with more than one man at a time. What would it be like?
Reed kissed a line down my shoulder, easing my shirt away with every kiss.
He reached my collarbone and made his way back up, lingering over the pulse in my neck. “They could join us. The three of us, together, bringing you pleasure.”
His words triggered my incredibly powerful imagination.
Three gorgeous older men all to myself? Yes please!
“Are you serious? You’d really do that?”
Reed pulled back enough to meet my eyes.
“I never joke about sex. Everything else is fair game, but not this.” He skated his thumb over my cheek, then across the split in my lip.
His eyes darkened, the punch of a muscle leaping in his jaw.
The look cleared an instant later, and the grin I’d come to appreciate took its place.
“Our time in the Rangers put us in many intense situations. We learned to rely on each other, to trust each other. Women were limited, and we learned how to share to keep from growing jealous.”
Every single word out of his mouth solidified my desire…and my decision.
The thought of them with another woman caused a spike of jealousy that had no business between us.
I was a job to them, and this was nothing more than the fulfillment of a sexual desire, need, and fantasy.
