He smirks. "Prank call my brother, Kyler."

"What?"

"I'll give you his number."

"He has my number. Remember, I met him at Tiffany's? I can't use my phone for the prank."

"What about your friend's phone?" Jasper points in Charlotte's direction.

"Fine. I'll commandeer her phone." I slide off the stool and strut across the bar, pretending not to be nervous. Charlotte will want an explanation, and I'm not sure she'll play along.

"Already done?" Charlotte asks when she notices me joining her at the bar. She pouts, looking disappointed as she glances past my shoulder at Jasper.

"Actually, I need your phone."

Charlotte doesn't just hand over her device. The corners of her lips turn upward. "Why?" she asks in a sweet singsong voice. She's prepared to tease me, and she doesn't even know what for.

"Just, can I borrow it?" I ask.

"Not until you tell me why you need it. You have your phone, right? Did you leave it at the arena?"

"Jasper and I are playing a game of truth or dare, and he wants me to prank call his older brother. Kyler has my number. He'll know it's me."

Her eyes light up. "I'm in." She glances back at the boys who were buying her drinks. "Sorry, I have to keep my friend company. It was nice meeting you both." She leads me back to the table with the hockey players, and Jasper is watching as we stalk up to the table.

"Are you in, or do you forfeit?" he asks.

"My girl never forfeits," Charlotte says. She digs her phone out of her pocket. "I'll give you this, but you have to let me in on your little game."

"Truth or dare?" Jasper asks.

"I want to play," Charlotte says.

"Fine," I grumble and snatch her phone. Jasper gives me Kyler's phone number so that I don't have to look it up on my phone. I grab my drink from the table and finish the whiskey sour. "Get me another drink," I say to Charlotte.

"On it. After you make this call." She grabs a stool and pulls it around to sit beside me at the table.

I let out a shaky breath and hit the call button, waiting for Kyler to answer.

"Hello?" He doesn't sound sleepy, which is good. He probably just got home from the game.

"I can't believe you, Kyler Greyson. You stole my significant other."

"What?" he grumbles, and I can imagine the confused look on his face.

Jasper's grinning and gesturing for me to continue this charade. "Em is everything to me, and I saw what you did, asking her to marry you at the ice arena. Well, she can't. Because she's married to me!"

"Amber, is that you?" Kyler asks, and I immediately end the call.

"Shit!" I grumble and shove the phone back at Charlotte. "What if he calls back?"

"I'll answer it and tell him he's crazy, that no one called from this number," Charlotte says with a shrug.

My cell phone buzzes in my purse, and I glance at the name. "I'm not answering that!" I say and shove the phone at Jasper. "This is your doing."

"Hey, Bro, what's up?" Jasper accepts the call.

I can't hear what's being said from Kyler's side, and he can't put it on speakerphone because the bar is too noisy.
