“And you need to fuck me.”
“Tiffany, you need to get out of here and stop this.I have no interest in you.”
“Oh no, no, no. That’s what you're telling yourself.Remember skinny dipping with me.Remember what I did to your cock and how I made you feel. You wanted me so bad. I know I had the time of my life.”
She slips her arms around me, and when she looks over my shoulder with a brighter smile and a mischievous glint in her eyes, I know something more is up.
When I follow her gaze and meet Piper’s disappointed, hurt-filled stare, I know exactly what game Tiffany is playing.
A tear runs down Piper’s cheek, and she rushes away.
“Piper, wait.” I shout.
I move to go after her but stop myself.I have to sort this thing out with Tiffany first to make sure it doesn't happen again.
When I turn back to her, she smiles at me, and I shake my head.
“Come near me or her again, and I will ruin you.I’ll make sure you never work anywhere in the world ever again.”
The smile falls from her face, and the wide-eyed expression she gives me notes she’s starting to take me seriously.
“I just wanted to be with you.”
“I don’t want you, now stop this.Or, I’ll be forced to take this further.”
I don’t wait for her response. She knows who I am, and I'm sure she won't want to test me or put her career at risk for anything or anybody.
I run like I’m playing the game of my life, and I realize I actually am.
What I want is slipping away from me.
I just missed the elevator I assumed Piper went in, so I jump in the next one and press the button for the ground floor, hoping like hell I catch up with her.
This is a disaster I never saw coming.Fucking Tiffany. Women like her have no respect for relationships, but it’s not her fault.
The fault is mine.
I should have done everything I could to stop her in her tracks because I knew she was interested in me.I could have made that threat before.
The doors ding open, and I see a familiar wisp of blonde hair as Piper races away. She’s well ahead of me, rushing into the foyer.
I run again and only get closer to her because she had to stop to allow the porter to wheel a trolley of luggage past her. It’s not until she gets outside that I reach her and grab her arm.
She slams into my chest so hard I have to steady her to keep her from falling over.
Her face contorts into anger when she looks at me.
“Let me go, Chad,” she cries, wrenching her arm free of my grasp.
“It’s not what you think,” I argue, trying to reach for her again. She steps out of my reach and holds her hands up.
“What, the naked woman in your room isn’t what I think? Are you kidding me?”
“Piper, it wasn’t what it looked like.I swear to you. I wasn’t going to do anything with her.She was already in the room when I walked in.”
“It doesn’t matter. This was a mistake. All of it. Everything.”
“No, please.”
