It was good news, because it meant everything was finally coming together for the studio and I’d actually have it soon, except they’d called Logan too and he was on his way to join us.

At first I was worried about being around him and what I’d say after Saturday’s wild sexual encounter. Then I was worried I’d look guilty in front of everyone because I can’t stop thinking of how the man gave me multiple orgasms and how his tongue felt inside me.

However, when Logan eventually arrived with Joey, our designer, and I discovered Joey was a very beautiful woman who knew him, jealousy reared its ugly head. Especially when she started to flirt.

It took an hour to go through the floor selections and I’d already chosen what I liked weeks ago. But no, we had to listen to her while she made eyes at my guy and every time she started a new sentence it was with the word so, or anyhew.

Who even says that anymore?

Then she kept making lame jokes. By the end of the hour I wasn’t sure if Logan was humoring her or if he actually found her jokes funny. The latter irritated me. I didn’t want him to find anybody’s jokes funny except mine, even if my jokes were worse than hers.

And, I knew I sounded like a jealous bitch but I couldn’t help how I felt. Especially when he barely seemed to look at me. I wondered if he changed his mind. Then I realized he hadn’t actually said anything about what he wanted to do in relation to us. The ball appeared to be in my court, and I was still in my state of flux.

Now that we’ve finally gotten on to choosing the mirrors I’m not sure if I can suffer through another flirtation session.

“So, these are the best you can get on the market,” Joey waves her hand over the images of two different types of studio mirrors. Both look stunning. “These are what we have. Both are for commercial use, have polished edges and the recommended safety backing. The only difference is the thickness. One is six millimeters and the other four. The choice is entirely yours but I suggest the four inch mirror. It does the job just as well as the six.”

“Well if you’re suggesting I see no problem with going with what you recommend,” Logan replies. “You’re the expert.”

“Why thank you Logan, you’re so nice.”

I’m sure if she really knew him, nice wouldn’t be a word used to describe Logan Savage. Although that does depend on what capacity you know him. He’s nice to people he’s close with.

What if he was close with her. As in they slept together. I look at Joey’s beaming face and the blush that creeps down her elegant neck. She looks like they did.

God, what the hell kind of nightmare is this?

“Those mirrors look just like the ones Lilly used to have anyway,” Bree agrees with a dainty laugh.

“You can’t go wrong,” Joey states, tossing her fiery red hair over her shoulders like she’s posing for a photo shoot. “I don’t even know why they bother with the thicker version. Thank God I’m an honest person who tries to get her customers good value for money.”

Anyone would think the design company was hers. When last I checked she was just a sales assistant.

“Well good value is exactly what we need,” Logan chimes in nodding his head. “So I’m extra grateful I got you.”

“Oh you are too nice. Then again what did I expect. You were so sweet to me when we met, taking me out for lunch and taking great care of me.”

So they did date.

“Oh I didn’t do that much.”

“You did, and literally swept me off my feet.”

“Actually, I think we should go with the six,” I cut in interrupting the conversation.

“Oh,” Joey says looking surprised. “But wouldn’t you rather save money on something that’s just as good?”

“It’s not just as good though, or there wouldn’t be a difference in two millimeters,” I defend.

“Sure, there’s a difference but it’s ever so slight.”

“I’m sorry, do you teach dancing?” Okay now I’m just being rude, and a bitch. It’s just that I’ve had enough of her for the day.

Logan cuts me a curious glance and Bree looks like she’s been caught in the middle of a war.

“No, I don’t. I understand that you do, but I’m the expert here when it comes to mirrors. So if you allow me to do my job, I’m sure you’d see the benefits.”

“Well I think—”
