No one stops him. We all stand and watch as she flails and screams, and the Serpents close the gap to collect their payment.
For a moment, I glance around at the view from this rooftop with the city lights in the distance and wonder if we will be heard by locals down on the street.
I heard Cipher saying something about cameras goingdark and phone signals being jammed, but still, if the Serpents use guns, surely someone will hear.
I don’t really know what I expected. Maybe that they would put her in their car and drive away to deal with her in private, but the moment they have their hands on her, the screams that rip from her are no longer laced with fear. They are nothing but agonising pain.
There, under the lamplight on the top floor of the parking garage, the Serpents close in around her using barbed wire wrapped bats to get their pound of flesh.
The sickening crunch of bones breaking is loud, and Rhonda’s screams turn to deep rasping gargles as each Serpent takes payment for the death of their leader and their men.
Kit doesn’t spare another look over his shoulder as he storms back towards us, his eyes on his men before they land on me.
No words need to be exchanged. We all simply pile into the van, Rhonda’s screams getting drowned out by the rumble of the engine, and we drive away, leaving her to her fate.
Even if someone on the street hears her screams, by the time help arrives, it will be too late.
There’s a slight tremble in Kit’s hand as he weaves his fingers with mine in the back of the van, and the moment we lock eyes, he starts to relax.
“She can’t hurt Libs anymore,” he rasps, and I nod, reaching up to brush my fingers through his auburn hair.
“She can’t hurt you anymore either,” I whisper, and a smile tugs at his lips before he presses them to my forehead.
“Soooo…” Wes leans in close beside us. “About that threesome…”
I suck in my lips, trying to hide my smile, but it’s dark in the back of the van, so I know they can’t see.
“I dunno…” Kit rasps next to me before pressing his lips tomy ear. “What do you think, Bell? You want me to share you?”
Heat pools between my legs at the thought, and suddenly, Wes feels closer than he was before.
“I don’t know, Kitty. Do you think you can handle another dick fucking me?”
He growls low, like the idea is a struggle, but I feel his nod as his palm starts travelling up my leg.
“Not gonna lie. It’s gonna fucking sting, but for once, I want to feel the humiliation of it, so when it comes time to punish you,” his fingers disappear under my dress and press to my damp panties, “it’ll be fucking brutal.”
I moan, my chest heaving, and even though Kit is the only one touching me, I feel the heat radiating off Wes on my other side.
“Fuck,” Kit groans, tugging my panties aside and running his fingers through my folds. “You’re so fucking wet. You really do want to be shared.”
“How wet?” Wes asks, and I whimper as Kit pulls his hand away, leaving me needy.
“This wet.” Kit lifts his hand towards Wes, and I watch, barely breathing as Kit offers his best mate his fingers coated in my slickness, and Wes leans forward and sucks them into his mouth, groaning around them.
“Fuck’s sake.” Bruiser leans forward from the seats behind us. “Unless you are inviting everyone to the fucking party, Kit, keep that shit to yourselves until you’re behind closed fucking doors.”
CHAPTER 24
KIT
Loungingback in the chair beside my bed, I can’t stop my fucking knee from jiggling as my mind goes over everything that happened over the last week. Even though I know the new Serpent leader made sure no traces of Rhonda were left behind on that rooftop, I still worry the cops will show up asking questions.
We have everything covered, and our contact inside the police department will give us a heads up if need be, but there’s always a possibility we missed something given the day and age we live in and the advances in technology.
I guess that’s just another reason why Cipher is so irreplaceable.
He’s fucking good at what he does.
