I didn’t mean to encourage her. But the truth is the truth.
“When is Teddy leaving?”
“Next Wednesday. The day before you do. It’s gonna be a hell of a week.”
She nods, and I pivot.
“But it will be exciting for you. Just think. Pretty soon you’ll be looking at the Eiffel Tower. For real.”
“It came too fast all of a sudden. Everything seemed far off, and then… It’s here.”
“I have a going away gift for you.”
Getting up, I go to the small drawer.
“What? I hope you didn’t do anything grand. This has been gift enough.”
“You mean seeing me naked again?”
“Thatwasa treat! No. I mean the trip we took to France and Italy.”
“You keep forgetting Montana. It’s starting to worry me,” I tease.
“I’m sorry. Especially Montana, I meant to say.”
I take the small square box with the red ribbon and place it in front of her. Sitting back down, I scoot the stool up and help myself to more leftovers. I take the last scoop of the soft cheese.
“I’m excited. What can this be?”
“That’s what she said.”
“That’s what she will say too, in about what? Another half hour?”
As she unwraps the gift, I get a smile.
“You are an extremely horny woman.”
“Ha! Horny! That I am, thanks to you, Mr. Lyon.”
When the lid is off, her fingers find the small fragrant bar. She smells it.
“This is your soap.”
“If you ever get lonely, or lost, I want you to think of me. I’ll come save you.”
Her chin quivers and tears well in her eyes.
“Crybaby.”

Barbra
This bed. Aargon. A warmth spreads through me, as naked bodies come together in the dark. No music is needed, no light. Just him and me. I have never felt such contentment before. It lays right next to the lusty desire. There is no unknowing whatrightfeels like. I will think of this when I am gone.
A long, slow kiss, the feel of warm skin, the muscles of his arms. Love this slow approach, where we taste each bite of the fuck feast. That feels…oh, perfect. There…right there.
