“One more kiss,” he whispers against my lips. “Please.”

Feeling more confident in my kissing abilities, I lift myself on the tip of my toes and place my hands on his shoulders.

“I would be really disappointed if you didn’t kiss me goodbye.”

That is all he needs to hear from me. He fuses our mouths together at the same time that he pulls on my head for me to come up higher. That part is kind of impossible unless he can just pick up my head, then pop it back on top of my neck. Preferably without killing me in the process.

Since my thoughts took a bit of a morbid turn, I focus on shutting my brain off. This kiss is the most important thing right now.

“You taste so good,” Kyle groans. “I want to taste you all over…”

My fingers clench onto his shoulders at hearing those words. They go like an electric shock through my entire body. If he didn’t have a good grip on me, I’d be dropping to the floor.

He continues kissing me, sucking at my lips and tongue, licking at my teeth and every part of the inside of my mouth he can reach. His hands squeeze my cheeks just a little tighter with every swipe.

This is such a surreal experience, I don’t know how to process it. Is this what people feel when they fall in love? No, I decide in an instant. This is pure infatuation, I am sure of it. But…

I can’t deal with the thought of him stopping.

By the time he allows us both to breathe, it’s like we ran a marathon. The blood rushes through my veins, and I have never felt more alive.

“This is crazy,” I whisper in disbelief. “I’ve never done anything like this before.”

Kyle sort of freezes, and he drops his hands to my waist, his eyes widening in shock. “What are you saying?”

“I’m saying that I’ve never brought a stranger to my apartment,” I explain. “I’ve never felt compelled to…”

His body sags his body in relief. “I thought you meant something else.”

I frown in confusion, wondering what he’s talking about.

“Technically,” he laughs, “you didn’t bring me home. I came here on my own. So your record is intact.”

I stare at him, hearing what he just said, but unable to respond. This visceral reaction I have every time Kyle looks at me scares me a little. My attraction to him can’t be mistaken for anything else other than what it is. But there’s also a lot of passion, and that is new to me. His kisses are… out of this world.

“What are you doing tomorrow?” he asks.

My brain doesn’t work. “Tomorrow?”

“Yes” he chuckles. “The day that starts after today. Tomorrow.”

With my hands still on his shoulders, I flex my fingers, squeezing and releasing a couple of times.

“I know you work,” Kyle comments. “And so do I,” he assures me with a smirk. “But I would love to meet you for lunch somewhere.”

“Lunch?” I ask in disbelief, I don’t even know why, but he takes it in stride.

“That’s the meal people usually have midday. There’s breakfast in the morning, lunch at noon, and dinner in the early evening.”

“Very funny.” I roll my eyes at him, but I can’t help the smile forming in the corner of my mouth.

His face becomes serious. “I am a very funny guy.” That only makes me burst into a fit of giggles.

With both hands still on my hips, he gives me a quick squeeze and pulls my lower half into him. My amusement dies when I feel the bulge in his pants. It scares me and excites me all at the same time. I can’t believe I actually got to see that part of him earlier. I wonder if I’ll ever see it again.

I swallow hard and try not to think too much about that. It’s anxiety inducing at this point.

“What do you say?”
