“Good girl,” Victor muttered, moving his hands back to her hips. He pounded into her then, taking her deep and hard.
Framing her face with his hands, Raphael slid in and out of her mouth. He bumped the back of her throat with each thrust but didn’t slide deeper.
Thankful for the small mercy, she sucked hard enough to hollow her cheeks.
They all came at the same time. Raphael gasped and whipped his cock out of her mouth. His seed jetted out and splashed over her breasts. Victor cried out as he thrust his entire length into her willing bottom. His seed pulsed out as his hands slipped beneath her, squeezing her breasts.
Their emotions barreled into her mind, blurring reality and triggering spasms of pure sensation. She shook, moaned loudly, and shook some more. For several blissful moments she floated along on the pleasure. It didn’t matter that cum was dripping off her breasts or that Victor was still buried in her bottom. She felt complete.
“Why can I sense you so clearly?” she asked when her mind focused enough to form words.
“We’re very close to forming a mating bond, whether you want to or not,” Victor warned. “Your mind is open to us now, and our bodies are in tune. We should probably not come inside you again until you’re ready to accept our claim.” Victor carefully separated their bodies and made a beeline for the bathroom.
She rolled onto her hip and looked at Raphael. “Is he angry with me?”
“Of course not.” Raphael leaned in and brushed the hair away from her face. He kissed her lightly then said, “It’s hard to be this close to something you want more than breath and not reach out and take it.”
She sighed. Their instincts demanded that they claim her, but a lifetime of human experiences warned her to be wary, to go slowly. The connection dissolved and their emotions faded from her mind. She felt empty and alone. “Did you do that intentionally?”
“No,” Raphael told her. His luminous gaze searching hers. “The intensity of our emotions formed a temporary link. It’s further proof that we are true mates.” He paused, expression unreadable. “You seem upset. Did you like being able to sense our thoughts and emotions?”
She nodded. “It was reassuring, but overwhelming.” She glanced away as she added, “All of this is overwhelming.”
Victor returned with a warm cloth and insisted on cleaning up the mess they’d made.
“I can go take a shower,” she objected, embarrassed by his overly thorough ministrations. Then Claire realized that Victor was inspecting her body, making sure they hadn’t hurt her.
“I’m fine,” she assured him as he pitched the cloth into the bathroom.
“It’s our job to take care of you,” Raphael insisted. He moved behind her and rubbed her shoulders and arms, pausing to look at her wrists. The cuffs had left faint red marks, but there would be no bruising. Finally, satisfied that she was unharmed, he pulled her into his arms. “If you’re sensing our emotions, it’s a good sign for us. Are you ready to accept our claim?”
The hopeful catch in his voice made her feel guilty. It wasn’t intentional, but did it seem like she was leading them on. “Every day brings me closer to acceptance, and tonight was a huge step.”
“But you’re still not quite there yet?” he guessed.
She reached up and kissed his lips. “Be patient a little while longer.”
“I’ll try, but patience is not one of my virtues,” Raphael grumbled.
“Truer words have never been spoken,” Victor teased as he pulled her over on the bed.
“Shouldn’t we go take a shower first?” Claire resisted his attempts to draw her closer.
“I washed up,” Victor assured her. “We’ll shower in the morning. Right now, I want to hold my mate.”
“I think that can be arranged.” She lay down facing him and snuggled into the warmth of his side. Raphael pressed in behind her and wrapped his arm around her waist. Claire closed her eyes and let their nearness comfort her. Life on Rydaria might be far different from Earth. It was harsh and somewhat savage, but she was no longer afraid.
A telepathic alarm jarred Victor from a deep, contented sleep. He disentangled his legs from Claire’s and scrambled off one side of the bed while Raphael scooted off the other. They both dressed as quickly as possible.
“What’s the matter?” Claire asked sleepily. She blinked several times and sat up, oblivious to her nudity.
“Wolf hunters are inside the walls. The village is under attack,” Raphael explained. “Victor will protect you, but I need to join Gabriel and the others.”
She crawled off the bed and reached for her clothes. “How did the wolves get into the village?”
“Damn good question,” Raphael muttered as he rushed from the room.
“What time is it?” Claire finished dressing and followed Victor out into the living room. “How long have we been asleep?”
