“No problem.” Tomesha grabbed a serving tray. She’d gotten a lot of practice walking through the club while balancing heavy bottles and goblets of blood. She turned and placed the tray on the counter and picked up napkins to add.

“It’s table four I need you to go over to. I’m telling you now, this table holds some heavyweights.” Ada set down a crystal decanter filled to the brim with crimson liquid.

The aroma of copper hit Tomesha.

“Heavy hitters?” Tomesha glanced in the direction of the table.

Three females who could only be vampires. Curiosity filled her. Their pale skin was noticeable in the low light. One in particular caught her attention. With her long dark hair, pouty red lips, and almond-shaped eyes, she was quite beautiful. She was slightly taller than the other two and was noticeably more muscular. Her spaghetti strap dress left little to the imagination.

This vampire was looking for more than a simple drink from the bar.

As if sensing Tomesha’s attention, she met her gaze. Her lips curled up in the corner. She nodded then turned back to the conversation at the table.

“That, my dear, is a very prominent vampire.” Ada added three goblets to the tray for Tomesha. She leaned in close and kept her voice low. She must have identified who Tomesha was locked in on. “Her name is Valentina Feng. She’s the daughter of Lord Feng. She’s been here awhile visiting.”

“For what?” Tomesha tore her eyes from Valentina.

Ada shrugged and leaned against the bar. “Who knows. Something secretive, I’m sure.”

“Who are we discussing?” Viessa arrived with her empty tray. She was a friendly person who’d been working at the club for a while.

“Lady Feng.” Ada chuckled. She nudged Tomesha and grinned. “If you play your cards right, you can make some good money tonight.”

“But she won’t be allowed to bite me,” Tomesha automatically responded.

That hadn’t been a problem with any of the other vampires she’d serviced so far. They all wanted a taste of what she’d had to offer for now with the promise to return once they could drink from her.

“It won’t matter, and if she makes an offer for you, I’d take it. Hell, if you want, I’ll go serve her table,” Viessa said.

“No, I’m sending Tomesha.” Ada motioned to Viessa. “I have another table for you to serve. Give me a second and I’ll get the order ready.”

“What’s so special about Valentina?” Tomesha asked Viessa once Ada was out of earshot. Tomesha wanted to know what she was getting herself into if there would be a problem going over to the table.

“All I’m going to say is that Valentina is working with some equipment that most of us females are not born with.” She wagged her eyebrows and giggled.

“Come again?” Tomesha frowned. What was Viessa talking about?

“Oh, you know. She was born with some equipment down there that we don’t naturally have.”

She motioned to her groin area, and then it dawned on Tomesha. She glanced over at Valentina again. She had large breasts and gave off a beautiful feminine appearance. She turned back to Viessa. Her curiosity was definitely piqued.

“Are you saying she has…um…a dick?” Tomesha whispered.

Viessa threw her head back and laughed. She rested a hand on Tomesha’s arm and nodded. Tomesha’s heart rate increased. She grew a little nervous at the fact and inhaled sharply. This was part of her job. She was to provide a service for the vampires and she wanted to be the best. This, she was sure, would not be the first time coming across someone who was slightly different from her.

And different was never a bad thing. She always loved to embrace what made each person unique.

“It’s the best of both worlds, hun. That’s why I said if you don’t want to go serve her, then I most definitely will. She tips very well.”

“I said I have another table for you, Viessa. Leave Tomesha alone.” Ada came back to where they were. She jerked her head to the club floor. “Tomesha, you best hurry before the blood chills. They like for it to be warm, and I have it at the perfect temperature.”

“Yes, ma’am.” Tomesha lifted her tray and positioned it on her forearm so she wouldn’t spill it. She glanced over at Viessa who winked. Tomesha smiled and shook her head. She began to make her way through the tables. She held her head high as Starla had encouraged her to do. She needed to exude confidence, sensuality, and the vampires would vie for her attention. She added a little sway to her hips.

She sensed eyes on her. She ignored the vampires and humans engaged in the open feedings and sexual acts. She kept her gaze on the table that was her target. According to Starla, the vampires would appreciate her undivided attention. It did something to their egos if they were her sole focus. Starla had taught her much since she’d been working for Madam. Everything she’d taught her had worked.

Tomesha kept in mind why she was doing this. The money she was bringing in was already going to help. Their house note would be caught up, she’d be able to help purchase her grandmother’s medications, put food in the pantry, and her brother wouldn’t have to work himself into the ground.

The three vampires turned their eyes to her as she arrived at the table.
