Willow squeezed around the men, and they slammed the door. Feno barked out a laugh and placed his hands on his hips.

She turned from the door and found him leaning up against the brick wall of the building behind the bar.

“How can you laugh at what just happened?” she asked, confused. Did he enjoy fighting those men?

“Let’s just say, be careful what you wish for.” He chuckled, wiping the blood from his lip.

She had no clue what he was talking about. She slowly made her way to him and saw the evidence of his bar brawl. His face was lined with cuts and the beginning of bruises.

“You left here with two women last month?” She glared at him with her hands on her hips. Two women?

“I should have made sure I broke the fucking wolf’s jaw.” He grimaced and looked at her.

“You’re crazy,” she muttered and stood in front of him.

“You have no fucking idea.” He shook his head, met her eyes.

She reached up a hand and traced one of the cuts on his cheek. The shifter must have brandished his claws when fighting Feno.

“You’re injured.”

“I’ll be fine.”

“You were fighting for me. Why is that? You just met me?” The warming sensation reached the tips of her fingers. Her healing powers were coming forth. She watched, fascinated, the cut on his cheek mending together.

“What are you doing?” He grabbed her hand in his.

“Healing you,” she whispered and pushed her energy forth. Her lips curved up; she was pleased with her work. His wounds disappeared before her eyes.

“Why?”

“I don’t know. I don’t like the thought of you being hurt,” she admitted. Her eyes flickered to his, and she tucked her hair behind her ear. “I answered your question, now answer mine.”

He looked away from her, his strong grip releasing her hand. She bit her lip, wanting to feel his hands all over her naked flesh. Just the thought of him running his calloused hands along her skin gave her goosebumps.

“Because I want you,” he growled. “The minute I saw you, I knew I wanted you. The scent of you is driving my animal wild. I can all but taste your arousal on my tongue. Did I beat the shit out of those fuckers for interrupting us? Yes. Would I do it again? Fuck, yeah.”

She gasped. He pushed off the wall and drew her to him. Her aching nipples strained against her dress, vying for his attention. She knew that in the shifter world, they saw, they wanted, they took, and right now, she ached for him to take her. She didn’t want to seem desperate, but it had been a while since she’d been intimate with anyone. Maybe that’s what she needed in order to focus on getting Delia back.

She needed to get laid.

And she knew just the person who could help her. For just one night, she wanted to be selfish and take pleasure in what Feno had to offer.

“Are we going to continue to stand here in this alley, or do you want to get out of here?” she breathed.

“I thought you’d never ask,” he growled.

A dark sedan pulled to a halt at the mouth of the alley. He grabbed her hand and led her toward the vehicle. She had to quicken her steps, following close behind him. His long strides had her almost jogging to keep up with him.

They arrived at the car, and she stared at it in amazement. How did the driver know when he would be ready? She hadn’t seen him with a cell phone. Opening the back door, he assisted her inside the vehicle, then got in behind her and shut the door.

“How did you do that?” she asked, looking around the car.

“Do what?”

“Make the car suddenly appear?”

“I have a special connection with my driver.” Feno grinned at her and tugged her close to him. The partition between them and the driver was up. He touched where the deep cut had been and drew his hand away. “You’re strong, my little witch.”
