She was the heir to throne and could resist the need to feed from Stormey. The thought of it had Hegna’s heart screaming at her. Hegna winced, the pain in her head reminding her of what she had always promised her. The conflict inside her was leaving her confused.

What would be so bad about mating with Stormey? She was matched to her. She was trying her best around the castle and had everyone eating out of the palm of her hand.

Hegna’s ears picked up the distinct sound of hard footsteps coming down the hallway outside the sparring room.

Hegna stood and held a hand out to Stormey who took it. She brought her up and close. Stormey leaned her naked body against Hegna. Her eyes were wide, and her lips parted.

“I’m willing to wait for you,” Stormey murmured.

Hegna’s hand rested on Stormey’s waist while her other lifted and cupped her cheek. She lowered her head and covered Stormey’s lips with hers. Hegna growled. Stormey’s lips were soft and parted immediately for her. She thrust her tongue inside her human’s mouth, stroking her tongue and coaxing her into a slow duel. She tilted her head, deepening the kiss. Stormey moaned, pressing her bare breasts to Hegna’s chest.

Hegna’s hand couldn’t sit idle while her human’s womanly body was in her grasp. She slid her hand lower, to Stormey’s ass, cupping it to hold her close. Hegna turned them to where her back was to the door and whoever opened it wouldn’t get a glimpse of Stormey’s nakedness. Seconds later, it opened.

“Your Grace,” a familiar voice spoke.

Hegna raised her head, staring down into Stormey’s eyes. Her female was out of breath, her exhalations now slight pants after their kiss. Hegna growled, not wanting to risk someone seeing Stormey.

“What is it, General?” Hegna growled. The use of her friend’s title warned Bijou she wasn’t in the best of moods. She wanted to drag Stormey into her bedroom and lock them away altogether while another part of her wanted to run far away from her.

“You’re needed. There are a few calls that are important,” Bijou announced. “I tried to take them for you since I knew you were busy, but it is you they are demanding to speak with.”

Hegna wanted to say something to Stormey, but she didn’t know the first thing she should say to her.

“Go. It’s okay,” Stormey whispered. Her face lit up from the smile that spread across her face. She reached up and ran a thumb along Hegna’s bottom lip. “It sounds important. I’m sure we are due a conversation soon.”

Hegna jerked her head in a nod. Stormey was right. They would need to sit down and have a true conversation. She couldn’t keep running from her.

Hegna glanced over her shoulder and met Bijou’s eyes. She nodded to the door, signaling she wanted her to shut it. Hegna didn’t want to chance her second-in-command seeing her human’s body. Once Bijou shut the door, Hegna back away, memorizing Stormey standing there with her sports bra bunched up underneath her chin, leaving her completely naked from the breasts down. She spun around and headed for the door. If she stood there any longer, she would have Stormey flat on her back again.

Stormey watched Hegna stride out of the sparring room and close the door behind her. Stormey’s body still trembled. She felt weak as if all of her energy had been zapped out of her. She bent and grabbed her panties and leggings. She slid them on and fixed her bra, covering herself.

What was that?

She stared at the mat where Hegna had just given her two of the most powerful orgasms she had ever had. Her clit still tingled, and her pussy had a warm sensation pulsing through it. She giggled, knowing that meant Hegna had thoroughly pleased her. She found her boots and slid them back on her feet. She’d go back to the castle and shower before heading down to the kitchen. It was the day that she had chosen to prepare a meal. The human employees loved when it was her day to cook. Not that they didn’t like Val’s food, but they loved hers because it reminded them of home and of something their mothers or grandmothers made.

Stormey slipped her coat on and headed toward the door. She laughed, noticing that her walk was different. Pushing open the door, she jumped, a squeak escaping her.

“Zeke, what are you doing here?” she asked. She held a hand to her chest, her heart racing from the surprise.

He avoided her gaze at first and gulped.

“My apologies, my lady. I didn’t mean to frighten you.” He straightened to his full height and offered her a small smile. Something was off about him.

“Was there something you wanted?” she asked curiously.

“I wanted to make sure that you were all right. With you being alone with the princess, I just remained close by should you have needed something.”

“Oh,” she said. She frowned slightly. “Why would I need help with something?”

“Well, you know.” He sheepishly stared down at his feet. He swallowed hard several times before looking back up at her. “There has been talk that the princess doesn’t like you. Or, um, doesn’t want you.”

Stormey was unsure how to respond. She studied him and realized what he truly meant. Had Hegna been about to harm her, he would have stepped in to save her.

Her heart softened for a moment. For she knew that he was no match for the princess. No matter how much he had trained so far, he would never be able to beat Hegna.

Even Stormey knew that.

“I think that is very honorable of you, but as you can see, I’m well,” she replied gently.
