Gavin’s beast demanded a life.
Dreven’s hind legs weakly tried to shove Gavin, but his animal was overpowering Dreven.
Dreven’s eyes met Gavin’s, and the light slowly faded from them.
His attempts to get Gavin off him became weaker. His body grew limp, but Gavin’s beast wouldn’t be satisfied until the alpha took his last breath.
It wouldn’t take long at all.
Dreven’s body was completely lifeless. Gavin pulled with all his might, tearing the wolf’s throat out. He spat the bloody flesh to the ground. Standing over the deathly still animal, Gavin threw his head back and released a powerful howl.
The man who had been with Dreven cursed, took off running, and disappeared into the woods.
“After him,”Gavin snapped to Kent and Evan. “End him.”
Gavin would be unforgiving to anyone who tried to help Dreven kidnap his mate. The other wolf who had vanished earlier— He’d lied. His wolves would not be so lenient on a man who was willing to kidnap an innocent woman.
They nodded before spinning on their heels and rushing toward the woods.
Gavin glanced down at the wolf beneath him and snarled, wishing he could kill him again for hurting Damara.
He stepped over him, taking in the remaining enforcers who bowed their heads in respect.
“Dispose of him. Ensure his pack knows what happened,”he growled.
He turned and stalked toward the woods were Spencer had taken Damara. Now that the threat was eliminated, he had something else he needed to take care of.
It had been a long time coming, and there was no way his animal was going to let him near her without doing something they should have done a long time ago.
It was time to claim his mate.
