“I’m glad.” I turn her around, her back to my front as I stand directly under the spray. “Let's warm you up.”

I let my hands run over her smooth skin, kissing down her neck as the water cascades down. Her hands reach up and back around my neck, giving me all the access I could ever want to touch every inch of her perfect body.

“I’m going to miss this,” she says.

“Miss what?”

“Hotel showers with you.” She turns around, her hands staying wrapped around my neck. “I’ve become quite accustomed to them.”

“Well, then, let’s make this one count.”

I reach over to the ledge and grab her shampoo, squeezing some into my hands, the relaxing smell hitting me immediately.

“Is this…eucalyptus?”

I gather her hair in my hands, beginning to work in the suds.

“Tea tree,” she says. “Isn’t the smell amazing?”

“It is,” I say, but it’s not just the smell of the shampoo. It’s this. All of this. For the first time in my life, I feel like everything is going the way I want. I have a woman I’m crazy about. Even though senior account executive might not be in the near future, I feel like I’m out of the rut I was in with my job. And standing up to my parents and putting some distance between myself and them? I’ve felt twenty pounds lighter since I hung up that phone today.

Yes, it’s like I got everything I wanted for Christmas, and none of it is what I asked for.

“God, that feels so good.” Her words come out in a moan. “Even when we’re back in Nashville and not in a hotel, can you still do this?”

I feel his hands come down to my shoulders, rubbing and kneading the tense muscles. “The day I turn down a shower with you is the day I forget how to breathe.”

I turn her around, continuing to massage her head as I rinse out the soap, taking in every second of beauty and relaxation on Kat’s face. When it’s all rinsed out, I can’t help myself from kissing her. She’s an absolute vision right now. Our lips are hungry for each other, and before long, I feel her hands running down my chest, heading to where I want her to touch me more than I want anything right now.

“Already hard for me?” she asks as she wraps both hands around me.

“For you? Always.”

Not wanting to be left out of the fun, I take both of her tits in each of my hands, rubbing them together as the water falls off of them. Our eyes are locked. The heat passing through them is palpable. It’s more than just want. It’s more than giving each other the release we know the other can provide.

This is true connection. Something that you don’t find every day. Something you find randomly, on a Thursday night, with a woman wearing an ugly Christmas sweater.

Something you find once—if you’re lucky—in this lifetime.

“Turn around,” I say, but not before sucking on her nipple quickly and letting go with a pop. Except when I do, I realize that we’re in the shower, and since I didn’t plan on her coming in with me, I didn’t bring in a condom. “Fuck, “I don’t have a?—”

She puts a finger to my lips. “I’m clean. I have an IUD. And I trust you.”

The last admission hits me square in the chest. “I promise, I am too. And I’ve never not used one.”

I watch in awe as Kat does what I ask, turning herself around, holding onto the wall of the shower, bending over to the perfect angle for me to slide right into her. “Then take me, Grayson. Just us.”

I’m a bull seeing red. Between her delicious ass waiting for me, her eyes looking at me over her shoulder, begging me to take her, I couldn’t hold back if I wanted to.

“Just us,” I grit out, stroking myself one last time before I line myself up at her, sliding in with so much ease that the sound that I let out isn’t human.

“Holy fuck, Kat,” I say, quickly becoming overwhelmed at the feel of her against my bare cock. “You feel so fucking good.”

“You always do,” she says, bending over a little more for me. “Yes, right there.”

My hands are gripping her waist as I drive into her—the screams she’s making are enough to send me over the edge, but I won’t. I force back my orgasm, not ready for this scene to end quite yet. But what I do want to happen is watch from this angle as Kat comes apart, and I know just what will send her there.

“Grayson! Ah!”
