Unable to move, he rested his forehead on Joci’s and waited for his breathing to slow. His thoughts were jumbled, his heart hammering to the beat of a hard rock song. It was as if something otherworldly had come over him. His life just changed in the most profound way. He had never felt such a desire for another person. This was something on another level, and he couldn’t explain it.
When Jeremiah thought about it, this past year was the first year that he looked forward to the next day, hoping he would see Joci, or at the very least that he would hear from her. On the days when they had ride meetings, he was the most excited because he knew she would be there. Yes, Jeremiah was in deep with Joci, and after making love to her, he would never live without her in his life. Now to get Joci on the same page.

Joci was very quiet under him. Jeremiah moved to pull himself out of her, but just the thought crushed him. Instead, he tightened his arms around her and rolled over, so she was on top of him. As soon as they had rolled, Joci slid her legs up, so her knees were alongside his flanks, and she straddled him, pushing herself all the way down on him.
She looked at him, her eyes wide when she realized he was still hard and becoming harder as she moved. He watched her. He put his hands on her hips and pushed her down further.
“Ride me, Joci.”
She smiled at him and began moving her hips, up and down, slowly. Placing her hands on his chest, she smoothed over the firm muscles bunching and moving as he moved. She looked into his eyes and was struck by the depth of emotion she saw in them. Beyond the beautiful summer green irises, there was true feeling in them. An intensity she had noticed in them recently, but it was more pronounced now.
She picked up the pace and saw a slow smile form on his lips just before his orgasm contorted his face into the beautiful form that only ecstasy created. Overcome with emotions, she collapsed onto Jeremiah’s chest, trying to catch her breath. He wrapped his arms around her and held her tight. His thumbs rubbed circles on her back, gently stroking. It was soothing, feeling him hold her and rub her back. She closed her eyes and the tears slid down the side of her face and onto Jeremiah’s chest.
Jeremiah felt the moisture and moved his hands to cup her head. He gently turned her head to look at him, and concern clouded his features.
“God, Joci, are you okay?”
She nodded her head, swallowed a couple of times until she thought she could speak. Jeremiah continued looking at her and wiped the tears away with his thumbs.
“Please tell me you’re okay, Joci. I never want to hurt you.”
Joci started to sit up, but he held her in place.
“I’m okay…I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to start crying. This…it was…sorry.”
Joci swallowed again. Her voice was so soft, almost a whisper.
“I’m overwhelmed. I’ve never felt like this before.”
Jeremiah pulled her back down onto his chest and held her tight. He swallowed hard a few times, too. After a few moments, Jeremiah took a deep breath.
“I know what you mean, Joci. That was overwhelming for me, too,” his voice cracked.
They lay together for a few minutes, and Jeremiah rolled over, so Joci was at his side. He pulled out of her.
“Stay here. I’ll be right back.”
Joci watched him roll off the bed and walk to the bathroom. What a beautiful view that was. He had a great ass. He also had a tattoo across his back, from shoulder blade to shoulder blade. She hadn’t noticed it before. But then, she had never seen him with his shirt off before. She heard the faucet turn on and water splash a little, and soon he was back with a warm cloth to wipe her up. Joci reached up to grab the cloth, and he stopped her.
“I want to.”
He climbed back in bed and pulled her close.
“Is there anything you need, Joci?”
She whispered, “No, thank you. I’m fine.”
He wrapped his arms around her tighter and took a deep breath.
She swallowed hard, trying to keep her stupid emotions under control. Her heart was beating so erratically. She leaned up on her elbow and looked down at him. Jeremiah grabbed her and pulled her to him hard, afraid to let go. His voice cracked.
“I know you’re scared. I don’t want to make your life harder. I want to make it easier.”
Joci took a deep, shaky breath. “I’m scared shitless, to be honest, Jeremiah.”
He breathed in deep and slowly let it out. “It’s been a long fucking year, Joci.”
