“What? Molly likes him, and she offered,” I replied.

Shaquilla drew a deep breath.

“Continue,” she said.

“Dylan said that she was pretty cool, but that she wasn’t going to be his Mom because he already had one, or some shit like that. So he calls her Big D.”

Shaquilla snorted. “Pack him up and bring him here. I need to hear this from the champ himself,” she ordered proudly.

“Can’t, I’m drinking,” I groaned.

“You’re an ass” she snapped. “Why did you call me, Blaze? You’ve given me enough ammunition against you for at least three months, so why on earth did you call?”

“I don’t know what to do to win her back. I need help,” I admitted. “I can’t give jewelry, she hates it. She hated the roses I gave her. She won’t let me touch her, so she won’t accept my hugs or my apologies. She doesn’t want to be Dylan’s mom. Hell, I can’t even speak to her…I’m lost.”

Shaq sighed. “Honestly Blaze, I think you lost four years ago when she disappeared. Actually, you probably lost her six years ago, when you got married and then stepped out on her for the first time.”

I heard her shift her body. “As much as it pains me to suggest this, Blaze, you need to stop. Stop with the screwing around.Keep that cock of yours inside your pants, and prove to her that you can be faithful and not step out on her.”

“I don’t do it that much,” I complained.

“I mean don’t do itat all,” she snapped. “If she’s worth waiting for, then she’s worth keeping your dick dry for.”

I groaned. “Any other ideas?” I asked.

“Blaze, do you love her? Then no more sex with anyone until she comes back. Prove to her that you love her by your actions, by keeping your dick dry,” she told me sternly.

I did love Daisy. So much that the thought of living without her was painful. I’d only left her alone because I thought she’d come back to me if I gave her enough time. But no sex at all until she came back? That was a drastic step.

“I’ll think about it, Shaq,” I told her.

Chapter 31: Blaze

“Blaze!” I heard my captain bellow. I benched the weights I was lifting and stood up to find out what the noise was about. I found him on the floor with a crisp man in a fancy suit standing beside him.

“This is the man you’re after,” Captain said to the suit, indicating me, then walked away, dismissing the both of us.

“Mr. Lovelace? I’m Darcy Emmerson. Pleased to meet you.” The suit held out his hand pleasantly. I reached forward to shake it as my captain disappeared into his office but left the door open for some reason.

“Blaze,” I corrected him. “Good to meet you too.”

He gave me a weird smile.

“I believe your opinion will change soon. Is there a private office where we may talk?”

The way he said that raised my suspicions. My gut told me that this was not going to be a pleasant conversation.

I folded my arms, pushing out my biceps.

“We can have that conversation here,” I demanded. The suit’s eyebrows raised up.

“Are you sure, Mr. Lovelace?”

I glared at him.

“Very well then.” He nodded. “I represent Daisy Lovelace, nee Smith. She has formally commenced divorce proceedings due to irreconcilable differences, and I’m here to personally deliver the paperwork.” His grin reminded me of a shark, while his eyes looked me up and down. “But we are willing to change this toat faultdue to adultery, if you so wish.”
