It didn’t matter that there was a national mistletoe shortage. It didn’t matter that the paying guests due in three weeks were impossible to please. It didn’t matter that her bump was so big, it was getting difficult to tie her boots. Zoe was so horny she couldn’t think straight.

Maybe it was the hormones, or perhaps orgasms were the best form of stress relief. But right now, she couldn’t get enough, and her schedule hardly allowed for any.

Leaving Duncan in the estate office, she waddled out of the castle to her truck, dialling Rory when she was inside.

‘Everything okay?’ he asked.

‘Where are you?’

‘The quarry. You alright?’

‘I need you.’

‘Can Duncan help? The charges are about to go off here.’

‘Ineed, need you. So no, Duncan most definitely cannot help.’

‘Ah.’

There was a pause. In the background, Zoe heard the quarry siren announcing the forthcoming explosion. She was sure Rory didn’t really need to be there, but she also knew how much he liked blowing things up.

‘What about Bob?’ he asked.

‘Which one?’

‘Fuck, I don’t know. Bullet Bob?’

‘Out of batteries.’

‘Bunny Bob?’

‘Basil found it and ate the ears off.’

‘Oh. Bedtime Bob?’

‘On charge and won’t be ready for a few hours.’

‘Back-up Bob?’

‘Broke through overuse and is now Bandit’s favourite chew toy.’

‘Big Bob?’

‘You’re Big Bob.’

There was another pause. ‘You heading back to the cabin?’

‘Yes.’

‘I’ll be there in ten.’

By the timeRory entered the cabin, Zoe was on the bed, extremely hot and bothered.

‘Let me give you a hand,’ he said with a grin as he toed off his boots.

‘Bloody big bump and bloody stupid socks!’ she yelled.

Kneeling front of her, he pulled them off and massaged her aching feet. ‘You should be resting more.’
