She didn’t need to tell me twice.
I grunted as I drove into her. My testes rose as my knot started to form.
Mariska suddenly shuddered and buried her face against the bed as she screamed with her orgasm. Her cunt spasmed around my dick, squeezing me so wonderfully tight. I dug my fingers into her hips to keep her in place as I pushed her climax as far as it would go and then beyond.
“Fuck.” So good, so close.
I had one ounce of control left. Enough to pull out before my knot swelled enough to lock in her. My Alpha instincts raged, wanting to fill her with my seed, but she didn’t want kids. Not yet. I had to take care of her and what she wanted.
Sawing my erection between the cheeks of her ass, I cried out as I exploded. Cum splattered over her rear and back.
Mine.
I might not have claimed her yet, but she was mine.
Still trembling, Mariska went limp under me and moaned softly. I knew I should get a towel and clean us up, but instead, I laid on the bed with her, curling around her and pulling the blanket over us.
Mariska wanted us to help her through her heat and then move to California after Christmas. Omegas had agendas, and that was hers.
But I was determined to make hers change.
Our Omega was here in the house. Here in the pack bed.
Mariska’s breathing slowed and grew even as she fell fast asleep in my arms.
This is where she belonged, and I would do anything to prove it to her.
CHAPTER NINETEEN - Mariska
The best mornings are when you can feel the sun on your face and you’re surrounded by the soft warmth of blankets. Artemis was a reliable alarm clock, but on the weekends, she seemed to know to let me sleep a little longer.
My hazy waking brain couldn’t remember if today was Saturday or Sunday. No, it didn’t matter. I wasn’t working at Blue Skies any longer. No work.
With my eyes still closed, I stretched my limbs out under the heavy duvet and inhaled deeply. It smelled so good. Fresh evergreens, cocoa, citrus, and peppermint. Every December, Primrose House took on the perfume of Christmas, and while the season brought back sad memories, the smell of it somehow made me cozy and content.
Just like now. Warm, comfy, and kind of sore between my legs.
I touched myself, discovering I was naked and extremely sensitive. An ache sprang awake and demanded Alpha attention. It crawled up, down, and through my body until I was nearly panting.
Throwing off the blanket, I opened my eyes and startled myself with the fact I was not in my own bed. I sat, my eyes trying to see everything at once.
The bed was gigantic. Who had beds this big? I’d been in pools this size. Snowy white comforter, sheets, and pillows surrounded me in a room with a skylight in its high ceiling. The sun shone down on me and made me look nearly as pale as the blankets. There was a large dresser on one side and a pair of mossy green reading chairs on the other. One open door led to a bathroom and another door was partially open to a hall.
The hall in the farmhouse.
I jumped out of bed with the realization I was in the pack room.
The charity event, Balthazar pinning me to a wall in the records room, and then Jasper fucking me from behind on this bed. I fanned myself. My body was burning up. Hot, too hot.
Miss Eloise!
“Shit!” Panic warred with my heat pains. I’d promised Lyla I would come to the hospital first thing in the morning. And if the sun was shining through that skylight, it had to be around noon.
“Where’s my phone?” I couldn’t see it anywhere. There wasn’t much else in the room except my bag beside the dresser and a bottle of water on the bedside table. No other decorations. Not even a clock. I ran into the bathroom. What was I doing? There wouldn’t be a clock in there!
As frenzied as I was, I had to pause and relieve myself. Fuck. I wanted a shower too, a very cold one, but I couldn’t waste any more time.
I washed my hands and face, and I was drying them as Artemis nosed her way into the bathroom. She did her little happy dance to see me awake, and I crouched down to give her scritches. “Where were you, girl? I needed to get up early today. Don’t you need to pee? Aren’t you hungry? I really needed my furry alarm clock with her cold nose.”
