Caleb’s hand caught my thigh, lifting it high and open, then his mouth was on me again. I gasped around him, nearly choking. The shock of his tongue against my swollen flesh made me moan instead, the vibration pulling a curse out of him.
It was wild, clumsy, neither of us utilizing any finesse. My jaw ached, my head spun, but the more I sucked him, the wetter and hotter I became. Pleasure and dizziness tangled until I couldn’t tell what was making me tremble more: his tongue or the stretch of my lips around him.
“Allie—fuck—you need to pull off.”
I shook my head and sucked harder. There was no way I wasn’t getting the full experience.
His hips arched, and he moaned helplessly, giving in to me. A few more passes was all it took for him to spill into my mouth. So much, some seeped past my lips, and I liked it. Maybe because it was him, I didn’t know, but I wanted more of it.
When I’d sucked him dry, he gave my hair a tug, and I lifted my head, wiping my lips with the back of my hand, giddy and breathless. “Oh my god, Caleb.”
He stared at me like he didn’t know whether to apologize or worship me. “You’re…you’re giggling?”
“Yes.” I pressed my forehead against his chest, my whole body humming with joy and pleasure and satisfaction. “I’m so happy right now, I can’t even stop.”
He snagged me under the arms and pulled me onto him, taking my laughing face in his hands. “You are something else.” He shook his head, smiling at me. “I’m happy too. Don’t have the energy to laugh, but I feel the same way.”
I brushed my lips over his then tucked myself against him, listening to the steady beat of his heart. I’d been attached to him before, but right now, if I could have crawled beneath his skin, I might have. I wanted to be close to him.
“Are you feeling okay?” he asked, trailing his fingers down my back.
“Better than okay.” I toyed with the hair on his chest, loving how it felt against my cheek. “I know that blow job wasn’t the most expert, but I think you enjoyed it.”
His chuckle shook me. “Understatement of the year. I don’t need expert. Your mouth is all it takes.”
“We’re lucky, then, since I have one of those.”
He reached down, pushing my chin up with his thumb, and touched his lips to mine. “A gorgeous mouth.”
“I don’t want to leave tonight,” I whispered. “Can I stay?”
Caleb’s arms tightened around me instantly, and his voice rumbled low in my ear. “If you tried to walk out that door, I’d hunt you down and bring you right back here.”
A startled laugh escaped me, muffled against his chest. “Why does that sound kind of fun?”
“Don’t get any ideas. You’re not going anywhere.” His mouth pressed to the top of my head, leaving kiss after kiss. “I want you here—with me.”
I tilted up to look at him. His messy hair. Sleepy eyes. The sweet little smile that sent another burst of giddiness through me. I grinned right back, unable to help myself.
We didn’t say anything else. We didn’t need to. I was pretty sure we both knew we’d found something special that was allours. We just curled tighter into each other, trading lazy kisses and dopey smiles until sleep pulled us under.
Chapter Thirty-one
Caleb
IwokewithAlicedraped over me like a blanket. I never slept naked, but I couldn’t say I regretted being able to feel all her smooth skin on mine. Her cheek was pressed against my chest, her hand balled in a fist beside my neck. Every few breaths, she made these humming noises—sleepy, content sounds that went straight to my ribs, cracking them wide open.
I should’ve been thinking about chores, Jesse, the day ahead. Instead, I lay there, greedy as hell, soaking up every second of her weight on me, every rise and fall of her body against mine. We’d never have another first morning together, and I wanted to memorize every detail of this one.
The trouble was, I was missing her, even though she was on top of me. It loathed me to disturb her, but I was tempted to wake her up anyway. Her smile when she was wide awake knocked me to my knees. I had a feeling her sleepy smile would flatten me.
“Mmm.” She shifted on my chest, her fist opening and splaying on my shoulder. “Are you looking at me?”
“Yeah. Can’t deny it.” I stuck my nose in her hair and took a deep whiff. She'd be on my sheets and pillow when she was gone, but it wouldn’t be the same as having her in my arms. “Wanna give me your eyes?”
Slowly, she pushed up on my chest, and her eyes fluttered open. It took a long beat for her to focus on me, but when she did, I was rewarded with a smile that held sunshine. “It wasn’t a dream.”
I took a piece of her hair between my fingers and tucked it behind her ear. “As real as it gets, darlin’.”
