She kissed the top of his head. "Are you hungry?"

"Yeah. We can eat downstairs here, or we can head toward Blossom Springs and eat there."

She nodded her pretty head. "How about here? What time do we have to meet Jami and Tony?"

"Eleven. Here is good. Let me take a quick shower."

He hurried through his shower, dressed, and stepped into the living room to find Mads looking at her phone and drinking her coffee. She turned when he entered. "Tony has a high-profile gig for us tomorrow in Tampa. He has another press panel set up afterward. We're practicing later today."

He nodded. "Good. Everyone will be up to speed with us, and we'll be able to move on."

She nodded and stood. "Ready?"

He took her hand as they entered the elevator. He held her hand the entire time they rode down to the main level. He kept holding her hand as they walked to the restaurant. The hostess smiled at them as they approached.

"Good morning. Two?"

He smiled and nodded.

"Excellent. Follow me."

She took them to a table in front of a window. They looked out onto a quiet garden area where flowers were in bloom.

"Can I get you coffee?"

"Yes." They both said. She chuckled and left them with menus.

His phone buzzed, and he looked at the screen. He didn't recognize the number, so he didn't answer it. Setting it on the table to his left, he continued to look at the menu. Mads set her menu down. He could feel her staring at him, so he looked up and smiled. "What are you looking at?"

"You." She shrugged. "You're handsome."

He chuckled. "Thanks."

The waitress came back with their coffee, and they ordered. His phone rang again.

He glanced at the number and didn't recognize it, so he tapped the red icon to ignore it.

Mads leaned forward. "What if it's about your car?"

He nodded. "Okay. If they call back, I'll answer it."

She smiled and sipped her coffee.

As if the caller knew he'd answer this time, his phone rang again. Same number. He took a deep breath and answered. "Peters."

No one responded. He waited a moment, then repeated. "Peters."

No one replied, so he hung up. "So much for that being of importance."

Their breakfasts were brought to the table, and they both ate with gusto. They had a long day ahead of them; they'd better eat well this morning.

After breakfast, they went to the room to gather their belongings. The room phone rang.

"Hello."

"Mr. Peters. This is Abby at the front desk. There's a gentleman here to pick up your car."

"Yes. Thank you. We'll be right down."
