“Oh god,” Frankie said with a groan. His brothers had been like that too. Well, Fenton had. If Fallon had been that way, he’d kept it quieter. “I can imagine.”
Lucas snorted a laugh. “Yeah. But I was always…scared, I think? Sometimes I’ll want something really bad, and then thesensation or the texture or the smell will tip me over the edge and I can’t handle it. I was scared sex would be like that.”
“But it was okay? I…did okay?”
Lucas lifted his head, then twisted to the side so he could curl his hands around Frankie’s cheeks. “Can I kiss you?”
“Yes. Anytime. Always.”
He did. It was still a little hesitant, but not nearly as afraid as their first kiss had been. His lips were soft, warm, a little chapped, but it tasted just as amazing as before. “You were perfect.”
Frankie bowed his head against Lucas’s grip. “That might be the first time I’ve ever heard that.”
“Oh. Cool. Well, then you go find the assholes who rejected me, and I’ll go find the assholes who made you feel like you weren’t a sex god, and we’ll beat the fuck out of them together. My cane is light, but trust me, it leaves welts if you swing it hard enough.”
Frankie burst into laughter, curling his body around Lucas’s. “I like you a lot.”
“Good. Because I was hoping we can do this again. I think I’m a little overwhelmed and beat…though if you want me to get you off?—”
“No, sweetheart.”
“Sweetheart?” Lucas said, his nose wrinkled.
Frankie rolled his eyes. “My princess.”
“Mm. Yeah. Better.”
Frankie kissed him again for that. “I don’t need anything tonight. Watching you get off was exactly what I needed.”
“Well.” Lucas hesitated, biting his lips, then said, “Okay, but only if you swear that next time, it’s a mutual thing.”
Frankie’s cock throbbed at the anticipation of a next time. “I can handle that.”
“Amazing.” Lucas yawned so loud, his jaw cracked. “Now I’m gonna pass the fuck out. But…”
He stopped, and Frankie waited a beat, then nudged him. “But?”
“Will you stay? I don’t want to wake up alone.”
With a small, contented sigh, Frankie wrapped himself up tighter around Lucas and nuzzled against his neck. “Yeah. I’ll stay.”
It was the easiest promise he’d ever made anyone. If only it didn’t have to end.
CHAPTER THIRTEEN
LUCAS
Tapping his foot,Lucas fought off the urge to start pacing the hallway of Gage’s building, mostly because it was a new place and he didn’t know it very well. It was hard enough memorizing the steps to his front door. The last thing he needed to do was accidentally get turned around, especially since Gage hadn’t put up bump dots on the frame yet.
This whole thing was also Lucas’s fault since he hadn’t called before coming over. It was an impulse thing. He begged Marc to run the truck for the day, then took an Uber to his best friend’s, forgetting that Gage was kind of going through some shit.
“Oh my god, he’s probably at his dad’s. I should?—”
“Lucas?”
He heard Gage speak, but he hadn’t heard the door open. “Uh…?”
“Take three steps.”
