I saw him register it and let it happen, not making a split-second move that, as a wolf-vampire hybrid with Ancient vampire blood running through his veins, he most definitely had the capacity to achieve.
In fact, an aroused groan escaped him the moment my hand slammed into his chest and my power propelled him across the room and onto my bed.
His back bounced on the mattress and his eyes glowed with stunning vibrancy.
As my gaze swept down his naked body, I noted the cords in his neck straining, even his jaw clenching, indicating that he was struggling to hold back the vampire and prevent his fangs from dropping. His wolf claws had already done so and they dug into the sheets.
He was struggling to keep still, to contain that primal hunger burning just beneath the surface that I could see reflected in his blazing eyes.
With what had happened earlier, he was beyond lust and desire. This wasn’t about merely being satiated sexually. It was soul deep for him, the pain plaguing him. And he most certainly wasn’t alone in that.
I strode toward him, the anticipation and that intoxicating intensity radiating off him buzzing under my skin.
My body was responding in every way imaginable. I saw arguably the most obvious way catch his eye, his gaze dipping to my pants and his lip curling into a mischievous smirk.
As I reached the foot of the bed, he lunged up in a single motion with his wolf agility.
I didn’t move, standing there like a looming force, which was a clear thrill to him, judging by the way it had his erection twitching and weeping.
He slashed his claws across my black shirt, shredding the material.
It slid from my body in pieces.
I saw his hands shaking as he reached out for my torso.
He couldn’t retract his claws.
I grasped his right wrist, then used the hold to slash said claws across my skin.
He gasped as he saw no wounds had been inflicted.
“It is my will to allow that from a non-Celestial being,” I explained. I stroked his wrist in my hold. “Do you wish me to bleed for you, wild one?”
His eyes burned into mine, a guttural growl rumbling forth. “Yes.”
I released him then called my white power to either palm and swept them in an arc, an ivory shimmering film encompassing the entire room.
“Was that the spell you used before to protect my mind from thehighof Immortal blood?”
“That. And mixed with anauditory reductionspell, so as not to disturb Ketheron. He would misinterpret the sounds that will very soon be filling this room.”
“And he’d storm in like a wrecking ball.”
“Precisely.”
His lips lifted into a racy smirk. “So, these sounds… what are we talking about here? Specifically?” He curled his fingers into the waistband of my pants. “Spell it out for me, Cas.”
With absolute pleasure, cocky little wolf.
With a flare of my magic, I divested myself of the rest of my clothes.
As Lazriel jolted and grasped my thighs to brace himself with me suddenly taking away my pants that he’d been holding onto, I snatched one of his hands and raked his claws across my abdominals.
He hissed as it drew deep scratches across them and the scent of my Immortal blood filled the air.
I watched him clench his jaw, shoring up his control.
He grasped my shoulder, his claws digging in and making me grunt, bracing himself and needing the rough physicality of it all at once.
