Her eyelids blinked open.

“You sure about this?”

She put her hand around my dick and guided me to her. “Don’t stop.”

We gasped together as I slowly moved into her. She was tight and slick, and my dick had a mind of its own, trying to ignore my attempts at control. I didn’t even realize I was biting my own lip until she grabbed my face with her hands.

“Give it all to me. Stop holding back.”

All pretense of civility disappeared. I wanted to breach every barrier that would keep me from the innermost part of her, the part she kept guarded and protected. I wanted that part.

With grunts and curses, I moved inside her. Any feelings we’d held back exploded as our bodies slid together. There was nothing but the rhythm of each thrust.

“Don’t stop,” she ordered as she wrapped her legs around my waist and angled herself to allow me deeper inside. “There. Never felt anything like this… Oh, God.” She screamed as her body clamped down around me. So tight.

Her words, the feel of her…made me crazed. I came harder than I’d ever come in my life. The world literally blacked out for a moment.

Everything spent, we fell onto the bed, me careful to roll to the side and not squash her. I pulled her back into me, stroking her damp forehead and kissing the curve of her shoulder and hips while our legs tangled together.

I think I might be in love with her. Would I tell her? Hell, no. I refused to break the spell of right now with the weight of that emotion.

“That was incredible,” I whispered into her hair.

“It was.”

“Are you okay?” I was afraid of her answer, but prepared to do whatever was needed if she said no.

“I’m better than okay.” She turned to look at me. “But this just got all kinds of complicated, didn’t it?”

“Yeah, we’re in trouble. There’s no way we’re not doing that again.”

“Good.” She smiled. “I have so many ideas.”

“Thanks for giving me a ride,” I said. The commercial flight had been delayed, which meant I had to hurry.

During the entire flight my mind relived every moment of last night. I’d never come so many times in my life. We’d dozed, and then one of us would wake the other. This morning’s makeup had been a challenge with my face abraded from his scruff. Didn’t help that I was so tired I could barely see straight.

My phone spit out the directions for Ian to make the last turn.

“What’s going on, Amber?” he asked as he turned his car into the cemetery. “Did someone die?”

I stared out the window. Will not cry. Not yet.“This is the right place. We’re doing a remembrance ceremony today.”

“For who?”

“My brother—well, foster brother. You never met him. He’s been gone a while.”

“I’m sorry. What happened?”

“A shooting back in high school.”

“Were you there?”

“Yes. While walking home from school, Jamal and I went into a convenience store. Powdered donuts made him happy, not that we had a lot of extra cash, but we scrimped and saved to use it after those super bad days at school. That particular day, someone decided to rob the store at gunpoint while we were inside. Jamal jumped in front of me when the guy shot. Pushed me out of the way.” I sucked in an uneven breath.
