More, probably.
The heat of his tongue, the pressure on my clit. It’s all too much. Pleasure swirls inside of me, building a hurricane that will wreck me.
And when it finally does, it ruins me. My head falls back and my back arches, as delicious waves overtake me. He licks me through it, not giving me a second of reprieve and making it last forever. When I finally settle, he places a soft kiss on my soaked flesh before pullingmy skirt back down.
I reach for him to give me more, but he stops my hand.
“Ah, ah, ah! We’re reading.” He winks and sits back down in his chair. I let out a frustrated growl, making him chuckle.
But he sticks to it and doesn’t give me a taste of that mouthwatering cock until we come back to the house, ages later.
We spend Sunday lounging around, all the way until David lets me know he’s driving the kids home.
“I should get going,” Logan says, grabbing his discarded clothes.
“How about you stay?” His eyes widen, so I quickly add, “Not the night. Just for dinner. We can tell Ash and Liv.”
Nerves get to me, and my lip gets attacked by my teeth. My fear is obviously unfounded because pure joy overtakes his face, showcasing his boyish features.
“Really?” he asks with puppy dog eyes.
I nod in response, and he crushes me in a hug. “We need to get dressed, though,” I squeal from underneath him, and he laughs.
Forty-five minutes later, Ash barrels into the house, while Liv follows slowly behind him. But as she notices Logan standing in the hallway, her face lights up.
“Logan’s here,” Asher shrieks and my lips turn up.
David stands in the doorway, eyeing thenew guy. Though, truth be told, in this house, David is the new guy. Logan is the one who belongs.
Logan’s eyes snap up to his, and I hold my breath, waiting for their next move. They both dip their heads, a silent agreement passing between them, and David hugs the kids goodbye before leaving.
The knot in my stomach unravels. One less thing to worry about. Two if you count Liv and Ash now knowing.
“What are you doing here? Is there more work to be done?” Liv asks, now that she recovered from the shock.
“No, I…” He looks up at me, and I’m grateful that he gave me a chance to explain on my own terms.
“Logan will hang out with us some more. He had so much fun working here, he realized he’d miss us too much.”
Asher shrugs like what I said makes perfect sense while Liv narrows her eyes at me. Luckily, she mentions nothing.
I’ll tell them we’re dating. But give me a sec to get used to it.
Logan christens the barbeque by grilling us dinner, which we eat on our perfect deck, enjoying the conversation.
The damn deck that felt like the last hope for my happy future. I was delusional to think that something like that could save my life. But in a way, it ended up transforming it completely. Without it, I wouldn’t find Logan. And as he sits across from me, joking with my children and shoots me a sideways wink, I can’t imagine not meeting him.
Epilogue
A MONTH LATER…
The clickof a lock makes my eyes snap open. Quiet giggles follow as well as an attempt at whispering.
“You’re going to wake her,” Liv whisper-yells, outside of my door.
“Guys?” I call out, stretching my arms before getting up. “What’s going on?”
“Happy birthday, Mom! Don’t worry about anything. Relax and we’ll let you out when we’re ready,” Asher sing-songs.
