If he bit Luke now, Luke wouldn't protest. He'd likely not even wake up. He'd just lay there and let Crimson drink from him and his blood would taste better than anything Crimson had ever tasted in his life, undead or not.

He pressed one last kiss to Luke's temple, and then he forced himself to leave the bed, leave the room. His fangs had extended, and he couldn't get them to recede again. He needed to bite something too badly. Sink his fangs into them and satisfy the thirst taking over his mind.

If not Luke, it was going to be someone else in this house.

Or the bottles in the fridge.

It would be so easy to go down to the kitchen and just... drink.

No, he couldn't.

Once he did, his sire would know where he was, and then everyone here would be at risk, including Luke.

He bit his own lip, if only to jolt himself out of his desire to go downstairs when that was such a colossally bad idea.

But so, so tempting too.

No,he told himself again. He could do this. He only had to hold on a little bit longer. Just a little bit. Only long enough to get himself to that room down the hall. The room Aldrich had claimed as his own for when he stayed over.

He wasn't sure if Aldrich had made it here yet, but he prayed that he had. That he was waiting for him in his room. That he would put an end to this.

One way or another.

He made his way down the hall step by step, forcing his feet in the direction of Aldrich's room even as his body screamed at him to go the other way. There wasbloodin the other direction.

He ignored the cries of his vampire soul as best as he could, moving one foot in front of the other. His journey to Aldrich's room seemed to take half an eternity, but in the end, he stood in front of his door. He didn't bother knocking, turning the knob instead to stumble into the room.

It wasn't empty.

Crimson almost fell to his knees in relief. He hadn't come here for nothing. Aldrich would put him out of his misery.
