Slowly, the anger inside me fades, the fear fueling it alltempering until I’m left with my shaking wife in my lap, tears pouring down her face and her eyes filled with so much remorse. I needed this; she knows that, and I’ll never be able to thank her for allowing Zayden and me to release our demons and loving us all the same.
I move my hand to her raw ass, skating it up her spine, then moving it to her face. I squeeze her cheeks together before forcing her to look back at me, then I slam my mouth to hers. My tongue darts out, catching a stray tear before I lick the hot trail it leaves behind. Blake whimpers before a soft moan slips from her lips.
When I pull away, our gazes lock, and I can’t help but get lost in her beautiful eyes. One bright blue like Zayden’s and one dark brown like my own. The perfect combination. The perfect woman.
Gently, I lift her into my arms, taking care not to touch where she’s sore as I slowly walk us to the bathroom. With one arm, I reach down and start the flow of the deep bathtub, allowing the warm water to fill as I set her on her feet. Wordlessly, Blake lifts her arms so I can undress her fully before I begin undressing myself. As soon as we’re both naked, I step into the tub, then pick her up once more before settling us into the warm water.
She straddles me as the water bites against her skin. She winces, sinking her mouth into my shoulder to muffle her moans. Once she becomes used to the feeling, I gently move her to settle above my cock before slowly pressing her down onto it. A gasp escapes her as I roll my head back, taking my time with this moment, with her.
Once she’s fully seated on me, I grip her hips gently, carefully lifting her up and down on me as her arms wind around my neck.
“Dom,” she whimpers.
“Yeah, babygirl?”
“I’m sorry,” she cries. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t think.”
I nod, allowing her to feel all she feels before I speak.
“The thought of losing you… it’s unfathomable. Unimaginable. You often forget Zayden’s heart isn’t the only one that beats for you.”
She looks to me, her eyes drenched with emotion as she shakes her head. “I never forget.”
I lift a hand to the back of her neck and pull her to me as our lips touch. We stay like that for several moments, succumbing to our embrace, only the gentle motions of our lovemaking echoing in the quiet bathroom. Each thrust brings us closer and closer, and the instant her tongue swirls around mine is the very moment my cock throbs inside her.
Together, we fall over the cliff of pleasure, practically pulling it out of one another. We gasp and moan, grinding our bodies in a way that wrings out every drop of ecstasy possible.
When we pull away, her head rests against my water-dotted chest. No words are exchanged; neither of us have ever felt the need to fill silence with useless chatter. When we speak, it’s intentional, meaningful.
“I love you,” she mutters, still pressed against me.
My arms wind tighter around her as I press a soft kiss to the top of her head. “I love you more.”
Chapter Sixteen
Ronan
After Dominic took Blake upstairs to—what sounded like—torture her, Zayden went to check on his kids, accompanied by Skyla and Liam while Asher sorted out dinner with Wesley. Me? I went straight to the computer and began pulling up everything I could on the man in the back of our car and the accomplices in the SUV.
Facial recognition has pulled up nothing so far, but I’m hoping the fancy biometric scanner that Asher acquired recently may point us in some kind of direction.
The door opens and closes, my best friend swaggering in like it’s any other day before he tosses something at my chest.
I catch it easily, looking down at the object. “What’s this?”
“Dead guy’s finger,” he says as he takes a seat and kicks his feet up on the desk.
“Wes, what the fuck?” I bark, tossing the severed finger onto the desk before looking for the scanner.
“What did you find on the car?” Wesley asks.
“Nothing,” I grunt as I dig around the boxes at my feet.
I swear to fuck no one ever cleans up after themselves around here, and I’m fucking sick of it.
“Let me take a look into it,” he says.
“I’ve looked. They’re fake plates. It’s a dead end.”
