“Georgie! There are some hot men out in my driveway!I’m definitely enjoying the eye candy, whoo! Those men are hotter than an Arizona summer during a heatwave.Still, they seem to be getting restless. Is Griffy still alive?”
When he pulls away, I press my face into Griffin’s shoulder.“Cockblocked by your grandmother,” he mutters.“Fuck.”His words shock me, but strike me as funny, too.Which means I giggle because I can’t stop myself.“Laugh it up, baby.I’m the one with blue balls that you’ll have to take care of later.”
That wakes me up from the trance Griffin’s kiss put me into.“Umm…” I hum.
“Don’t get me wrong,” Griff laughs quietly, his arm sliding around my waist as he whispers, “I love your Nana. She’s special.”
“She is,” I agree, still resting my head against his shoulder.“Griffin?”
“Yeah?”
“I don’t think I’m the kind of girl you think I am,” I warn him, trying to make a point, but realizing my words are about as clear as mud.Apparently, my brain is still rattled. Why couldn’t I just say that I wasn’t going to be touching his balls, let alone anything else?
“I don’t know you yet, Georgie, but I can tell you one thing that Idoknow for sure.”
“What’s that?”
“You’re exactly the woman I want and you’re mine.”
I’m his?Shit.I think I’m in trouble.“I’m not.The kind of woman you want, I mean.”
He laughs.“Trust me, baby. You definitely are.”
“I’m not.I’m not the kind of girl to play with balls.I don’t even think about balls,” I respond shaking my head like a crazy woman—mostly because I’m panicking that the hot guy in front of me thinks we’re going to have sex on the same day that I actually met him.
“You don’t like sucking dick?”he asks, sounding shocked.
“I uh … Not really,” I answer, lamely. That seems a safer answer than the truth—which is I never have before.
He frowns, obviously not liking my answer. Then, he just shrugs.“We’ll work you up to it.”Before I can tell him that we aren’t going to work me up to anything, he has ushered me back to my grandmother and is opening the door.He forcefully pulls me to him and kisses the hell out of me, leaving me so dazed, I can’t manage to form one word.“I’ll deal with the cops. You don’t come out.”
“Don’t come out?”I parrot.
“Nope.”
“But it’s our house.Davis or one of the other deputies will probably want to talk to us.”
He frowns at me.“I’ll handleDavis.”
“But—”
“I said I’ll handle him or anyone else, Georgie. You’re mine. It’s my job to protect you and make sure all these men know that.Besides, I love those shorts and the way your ass hangs out of them, but if any of my men or the cops see you in them, I’m probably going to kill them.I’m not sure you want our first time together to be in a rented container outside of county lockup during a conjugal visit.”
My eyes get big as saucers as I step away from him.Nana is laughing her ass off in the background, but all I can do is stare at Griffin as he winks at me and tells Nana to make sure I’m ready for our date tonight.
“I’ll have her ready, sexy pants.Just make sure you’re not late. Can’t have my Georgie spending time with a man who can’t be punctual.”
Griffin laughs, leaning on the door.“I’ll be right on time, Nana. You just make sure it’s worth my while to obey your orders.”
“Pfft. The fact Georgie is giving you the time of day makes it worth your while. You mark my words, boy.You don’t know what you’re getting into.Your single days are over.”
“That’s what I’m counting on Nana. That’s what I’m counting on,” he says walking backwards toward his men.
He winks at me as I shake my head no.Before I can tell him not to show up, Nana shuts the door, clapping her hands together.“Now, let’s get you gussied up!”
She moves around me like she’s closer to twenty instead of eighty, disappearing into my room and leaving me to wonder only one thing.
Who is crazier, her or Griffin?
