Before I can stop myself, I’m pulling Jack to my chest and kissing him.
He grunts against my lips and returns the kiss, his hands sliding up my chest before he locks them behind my neck. The kiss feels different this time, like with each second that passes with his lips on mine, the fire inside my chest grows more intense.
The prickling in my eyes worsens, and tears start to stream down my cheeks. My behavior shocks me a bit. I’m hardly ever so open about my emotions, but the sudden swell of… something… in my heart overwhelms me.
“I never forgot you, little light,” Jack whispers against my mouth. “Never.”
I capture his lips again and slowly back him up against the wall of ice. He emits a soft sigh and grips the tops of my shoulders. We kiss for a while, and even though we’re in a room of ice, I’ve never felt warmer.
“We’re almost there,” he says, after drawing back from my lips.
“This isn’t it?”
“While I hope you think the sculptures are nice, the real surprise is waiting on the other side of that wall.” He nods his head to it. “I can’t promise things won’t get a little… steamy.”
I narrow my eyes at him. “Okay. You have my attention.”
“I should hope so.” Jack pushes from the wall and drags me with him.
No matter what surprise is behind the wall, it’s nothing compared to the one I feel inside my chest right now, the intense feeling I have while holding his hand. It’s unexpected and strong. We turn the corner, and my chin drops. A pool of clear blue water is straight ahead, steam rising into the air.
“Is that…?”
“A hot spring? Yes.” Jack steps over to it and dips his foot into the water. “You’ll warm up in no time.”
“I didn’t expect one to be here,” I say, walking forward. The temperature in the room feels incredible, unlike the other areas of the cave that are nippy. “I mean, Vermont isn’t exactly known for its hot springs.”
“And it’s known for an ice Pegasus? An immortal being who flies through the air and paints the world in shades of winter?”
I chuckle. “Okay, you got me there. When with you, I guess anything’s possible.”
“Take off your clothes.” Jack closes the gap between our bodies and tugs at the zipper on my coat, his eyes pinned to mine.
So much for not being able to get it up in the cave.
My dick hardens in an instant. The vast temperature difference helps with that. The steam from the water has warmed the place up considerably.
“Are you going to join me?” I ask, removing my coat and tossing it on the floor. “Or will the heat make you sick?”
“I’ll be fine.” Jack unbuttons my shirt and slides it off my shoulders. He then grabs the hem of my undershirt and tugs it up and over my head.
Our lips softly meet as he fumbles with the button on my jeans. He tugs them down my hips, kissing down my chest and stomach on his way down. A curse flies from his lips when he gets to my boots, though. My jeans can’t come off until they do.
“Such a pain,” he mutters as he unties the laces. “This is exactly why I don’t wear these stupid things.”
Once the boot is loose enough, I step out of it, then do the same with the second. I pull my jeans the rest of the way off, then grab him by the front of his sweater and yank him back up to me. He smiles around the kiss as I run my hands beneath the material and caress the smooth skin of his belly. The kiss breaks as I pull off his sweater, but then I’m kissing him again and tugging at his pants.
“God, you’re so fucking beautiful, Jack,” I whisper once we’re both naked, standing in the middle of the room in each other’s arms.
He softly smiles, and the pool of water beside us dances in his eyes. “You say that a lot.”
“Because it’s true.” I dip my head to lightly kiss his throat. “And I want you to know it. Every.” I kiss his jaw. “Inch of you.” A kiss to his cheek. “Is beautiful.” I then kiss his ear, the one part of him he’s the most self-conscious about.
“Keep saying things like that, and I’ll never let you go, Luka Michael Summers.” Jack lays his head on my shoulder, his breath tickling my skin. Our dicks brush together as he stands chest to chest with me. “You often say you can’t believe I’m real, but what you don’t understand is you being here, in my arms, is just as unbelievable to me.”
Words fail me, so I cup his face in both my hands and kiss him again.
He takes a step back, pulling me with him as he steps down into the water. Our lips still move together as I step in after him. The warm water causes goose bumps on my skin. It’s not as hot as I expected, which is good. It’s more like a warm bath than a hot tub, but it still feels amazing.
