“Yeah,” I said, once coming back to myself. “Seen him?”

She made a face and pursed her lips.

“Michaela…where is he?”

“I saw him stumble into room 24B. But…” She bit her lip and looked away.

“But what?”

“He wasn’t alone, Royal.”

The crack in my heart grew wider.

“Thanks.” I walked farther down the hall.

Grayson breaking up with me had come out of nowhere. We shouldn’t have gotten into that big of a fight earlier over something so small. And dumping me over the phone?

No. That wasn’t him.

When I reached room 24B, the door was closed.

An uneasy feeling stirred in my gut. There was only one reason he’d be in there with the door closed. When I’d talked to him, there’d been another guy with him, and Michaela had verified that fact.

I should just walk away.

But I didn’t. I knocked and waited.

No one answered. Of course.

I put my ear to the door, but the party going on around me was way too loud to hear anything other than music and people talking. After checking the handle and noticing it was unlocked, I opened the door.

And instantly regretted it.

Grayson lay on the bed, pants around his ankles, and was making out with some twink. He still had his boxers on, but I was sure if I had walked in five minutes later, that wouldn’t have been the case.

The guy straddled him, kissing from Gray’s lips to his bare chest. The chestI’dkissed earlier that day. The neck I liked to nibble.

For a moment, I could only stare. Told myself I was seeing things. That my boyfriend—ex-boyfriend?—wasn’t about to fuck someone else.

But he was.

Grayson’s eyes flashed to mine. At first, he looked just as shocked as me. But there was also shame. Guilt. Instead of stopping and trying to explain—not that I’d accept any excuse he could ever give anyway—he clenched his jaw, narrowed his brow, and slid his hand down the guy’s back, dipping into his boxers.

My vision blurred.

“Mm, I can’t wait to ride your cock,” the guy moaned as Grayson kissed his neck.

I opened my mouth to say something. Anything. But I couldn’t. It was like my lips were cemented together.

Grayson looked away from me and closed his eyes. The twink licked Gray’s nipples and rolled his hips forward.

I left the room and shoved people out of my way as I ran down the hall. Tears pooled in my eyes, and I could barely see where I was going.

“Royal?” someone called out. “You okay, man?”

I ignored them.

I ignored everyone.

I have to get away from here.

Grayson was my best friend. The man I loved and wanted to spend the rest of my life with. And he’d fucking ripped my heart out.
