Halfway through the meal, I forgot about the food. All I could focus on was his sweet sounds of enjoyment as he ate and the look on his freckled face as he closed his eyes and softly sighed.
I’d never thought eating could be a turn-on, but he made it so.
“Do you like the food?” he asked once noticing my eyes on him.
“Love it,” I answered, not breaking eye contact as I sipped my coffee. “I’d ask if you were enjoying it, but your moans say you do.”
“My moans, huh?” He winked before slowly taking a bite and giving an exaggerated moan of delight.
There was no way I was making it through the whole day without tasting him. He was a temptation unlike any other. The fruit in the Garden of Eden.
The sun in the sky that beckoned to me with my wax wings.

Kyler nerded-out at the museums. He’d enjoyed the archaeological museum and walked along the exhibits, admiring the artifacts. Pottery dating back to the 9thcentury BC, as well as Cycladean jewelry from the Hellenistic period, had been on display.
The highlight for me had been the Parian marble statue of Hercules. I had a thing for Greek heroes.
“If you had the chance to fuck either Hercules or Achilles, who would you choose?” Kyler asked as I admired the statue.
“Achilles,” I answered with no hesitation. “No doubt about it. Hercules is way too muscled. Achilles isjustright. Plus, he’s a major badass without flaunting it in everyone’s face like Hercules did.”
“Wow, you’ve really thought a lot about this, haven’t you?”
“Shut up.” I playfully shoved Kyler and moved to the next exhibit. “What about you?”
“Both,” he answered, giving me a cocky grin. “I’d ask for a threesome.”
“Kinky little fucker.”
A lady snapped her head toward me, and I inwardly cringed before mouthingsorry. Not sure why I was apologizing for her being a prude, but whatever. Wearing a ball cap and sunglasses, I hadn’t been recognized by many people so far that day. Which was great. Sometimes, I loved being treated like everybody else.
“So,” I said once we’d moved away from the crowd. “Have you ever had one before?”
“Had what?” Kyler asked.
“A threesome,” I whispered.
“Um.” His cheeks darkened. “Yeah. Several, actually.”
“Wow. Just with guys?”
“Yeah. I’ve never been with a girl. Never will be, either. I know who I am and what I like.”
If only I could be as self-assured as him.
“What about you?” he asked.
“A few times. All with girls.” My stomach twisted. “I guess it was a poor attempt at convincing myself I was normal.”
“I fucking hate that word,” Kyler said, furrowing his brow. His gray eyes moved to me, staring right into my damn soul. “Normal doesn’t exist in my book. Every person is unique. Grouping them all into a bullshit label likenormaltakes away the beauty of humanity.”
I returned his intense stare, fighting wave after wave of emotion.
Kyler was the most beautiful person I’d ever met. I adored the way he viewed the world, and I loved how kind he was. A heart like his was rare; so caring and genuine. In the weeks I’d known him, he’d crawled his way into my chest, settling in behind my ribcage. I wasn’t sure I could ever get him out.
I didn’t know if I wanted to.
