Crushing on a straight guy was a recipe for disaster. But it wasn’t like he’d ever give me the time of day anyway.
Brysen softly laughed from the other room, followed by athumpand a deeper chuckle. Great. He had some dude over. When the laughs transitioned to breathy sighs and moans, I put on my headphones and found my favorite playlist on Spotify to help drown them out.
I had a few guys that I called for hookups every now and then, but I wasn’t in the mood that night. No, it seemed I was more preoccupied with stalking Declan’s social media and wondering what he was like in person.
I’ll find out soon enough.
The thought made my stomach twist.
Before I could stop myself, I commented on his post.
Kye927:I hope you like Addersfield! We’re honored to have you. Be sure to stop at Chase’s Diner. Best burgers in town. Probably the world ;)
God, I was such a dork. Declan received hundreds of responses to his posts—most of them saying things likeyes, DaddyorI LOVE YOU—so it wasn’t like he’d see mine. Before I could obsess over it, I shut down my laptop.
Brysen was still going at it with the random guy, and I turned up the volume on my phone, letting the band SYML sing me to sleep.
